⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely incredible from start to finish. My wife and I visited Monteiths while in Edinburgh celebrating our first week of marriage, and without exaggeration, it was one of the best meals I've ever had. We both had the fillet steak and it was absolutely outstanding. I've had some amazing steaks over the years, but I would genuinely rank this as the best I've ever had. Cooked perfectly, full of flavour, and everything that came with it was just as good. Even the potato pavé was unreal. The cocktails were excellent too, but what really made the night for us was the staff. They were absolutely class. Friendly, relaxed and incredibly helpful without ever feeling overly formal or stuck-up. They actually took the time to chat with us properly, asked about our trip and what we were doing in Edinburgh, and even recommended places they thought we'd enjoy going afterwards. It wasn't the usual polite small talk you sometimes get — they seemed genuinely interested in talking to us and making sure we had a great night. The whole place has a brilliant atmosphere. It feels special and intimate without being pretentious, which was exactly what we wanted. The bill was a little on the pricey side, but honestly, it was worth every penny. When the food, drinks, service and atmosphere are all that good, you don't mind paying for it — and I'd happily pay it again. An absolutely fantastic night, the best steak I've ever had, and some of the nicest service we've experienced anywhere. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in Edinburgh. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Lucy was a great server. All staff were accommodating. We were originally sat beside a very loud table and were accommodated to move. It was at a high top but it was better and quieter. Food was quick, tasty and it was a nice anniversary dinner.

Excellent freshly caught fish fry and great service and classic Scottish pub ambience

We didn’t seem to be offered all menu’s- we saw others served food not on the menu we had? Our meal was however very good.
