The sushi and sashimi were excellent, and the sushi rice outstanding. Chef skilled and meticulous. Service was on point and unobtrusive. Aspects that can be improved: the counter seems too high for the chairs they use; at this price point they should really have a waiter in the room at all times; pace of the course is a bit too slow —some of the dishes could have been prepared simultaneously/in the kitchen; drinks by the glass are very limited.

Very friendly staff. Dogs allowed at the three outdoor tables. Brought my dog a water bowl. Much appreciated Two of the three tables are under a decent sized awning. The fish wraps around the sushi and the nigiri was served slightly warm which was nice. Note we once asked for extra wasabi and were charged 50c. 5% surcharge on Saturdays. Very fresh sushi and I really enjoy going there.

Friday night at Nomidokoro Indigo Izakaya was dangerously good. The food was fabulous — especially the wasabi octopus and that glorious mackerel. Add a crisp, tasty sake and I had a very happy tummy. The sake selection is wide enough to require a return visit… purely for research, obviously. Service was excellent: attentive enough to keep things flowing, without hovering like an anxious auntie. The izakaya counter is a tad cosy (aka cramped), but the noise level was spot-on — lively enough to feel like an izakaya, yet still perfectly easy to hold a conversation. I’ll definitely be back AND frequently. There’s plenty more on the menu and far too much sake to leave it unexplored. Worth knowing about — but let’s keep it between us, shall we?

Izakaya Mitto is a cosy and vibey izakaya spot which does great Japanese food. The ambiance both inside and outside the restaurant is lovely. Service was great and the food came out really quickly. The highlights for us was the Wagyu steak which they torched, it was so fun to watch and really added extra smokiness to the steak. Oysters and sashimi were all really fresh and the chirashi don was delicious. We also loved our yuzu margarita and Chawan cloud, highly recommend both of those drinks!
