- EErikaSan Francisco Bay Area •5 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoEverything was absolutely perfect. The food was so good! We got the jalapeño yellowfin tuna appetizer, the miso cod, ny steak, chilean sea bass, scallops, uni and a few other things. We came ready to eat, drink and be merry. Service was great, valet was friendly. Outdoor seating was really nice. There are heaters overhead if you get chilly. A wonderful birthday dinner was had. Thank you!More infoNobu Palo Alto$$$$• Japanese• Palo Alto•4.5
- JJosephSan Francisco Bay Area •1 review5.0Dined 6 days agoHad a great experience dining here. The food was delicious, fresh, and came out quickly. What made the experience even better was our server, Alvin. He was friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service from start to finish. Alvin made sure our drinks stayed full, answered our questions about the menu, and checked in on us throughout the meal without being intrusive. His positive attitude and professionalism really stood out. Great food and outstanding service. I’ll definitely be coming back and would highly recommend this place to others.More infoSushi Roku - Palo Alto$$$$• Sushi• Palo Alto•4.7
- MMarkLos Angeles •8 reviews5.0Dined on Jun 17, 2026We were visiting from Southern California and tried Ethyl's Fancy at the recommendation of a relative who lives in the area. He did not steer us wrong. The food and service were outstanding. We loved the coconut fritters, sesame pancakes and milk bread (don't be afraid to order both, they are very different) as starters. We had the kampachi and the beef dumplings. All of the flavors popped, and everything was both different and delicious. We shared the halibut entree. It was very good, but not as unique as some of the starters. For dessert we had the corn soft serve, which tasted like Popcorn Ice Cream if that were a thing. Unique and excellent. As good as the soft serve was, our favorite dessert was the Financier. My son compared it to french toast, but with more crunch and chew and served with a warm berry compote and butter. Our favorite moment of the evening was when my son asked our server what the inspiration was for the corn soft serve and the chef personally stopped by to talk food with him. Just a great dining experience all around.More infoEthel's Fancy$$$$• Californian• Palo Alto•4.8
