Best Gastro Pubs in Wisconsin

This restaurant is sort of sectioned off of a lobby but the food is exceptional and a great value! In a land of burgers and brats, we were seeking out something a little different after a bunch of delicious but heavy meals. We still couldn't pass up the cheese curds, which turned out to be the best of our trip with light batter and spicy dip, but the farro salad (added tofu) and steak frites were also delicious! The salad in particular had an addictive mix of crunch (pistachios) and herbs (mint and something else) along with the flavorful feta spread. All in all, we were extremely pleased with this dining option and definitely would return on our next visit. They also have a selection of half-priced items for happy hour 3-7pm that included the cheese curds, a great value.

The bartender was amazing and knowledgeable. The owner stopped by our table and he was so friendly and welcoming. The food was fantastic!! Highly recommend this place!

Nice Dinner with tasty food and exceptional service.

Food was good to very good, except the three cheese truffle flatbread, which was very plain, missing any truffle flavor and seemed to be topped with the cheapest grated parm. Service was ok, could be better. I don't think a single finished plate was cleared until we left the table. Service was courteous, at least. Admittedly, I was annoyed that they claimed not to take reservations, even though I had a reservation on OpenTable. It just wasn't a good look for our birthday dinner, kind of embarrassing and awkward. We enjoyed the outdoor area; firepit, giant jenga, giant Connect 4, bag toss, comfy seating, live music. Overall, good.
