- TTerryKent •5 reviews5.0Dined on Jun 12, 2026Exceptional Friday Lunch at The Darnley Arms! We dropped in for lunch on Friday with my wife and our dog, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm, relaxed, and incredibly welcoming. The food was absolute pub perfection. I opted for a classic comfort dish: a massive portion of perfectly carved ham, served with two flawlessly cooked fried eggs and a mountain of golden, crispy hand-cut chips. The eggs had that perfect runny yolk, and the chips were top-tier. My wife went for the fish and chips, and it was easily a 10/10. The fish was huge, boasting a beautifully crisp, golden batter, and came served with a generous helping of bright, fresh peas, tartare sauce, and a refreshing drink on the side. Safe to say, it got a massive double thumbs-up! What truly sets The Darnley Arms apart, though, is how genuinely dog-friendly they are. They didn't just tolerate our dog; they completely spoiled him! Our girl was treated to her very own stainless steel bowl packed with bone-shaped biscuits and a sausage , which kept her perfectly happy while we enjoyed our meal in the lovely outdoor seating area. Fantastic service, brilliant food, and an unbeatable atmosphere for a family lunch. We will absolutely be back!More infoThe Darnley Arms££££• Gastro Pub• Gravesend•4.7
