We had a really great meal at the Chequers pub. There were three of us plus dog. One of our party had a food tolerance issue and the staff were really good about checking whether the person's choice of meal could be an issue (it wasn't, so that was good). The dog got made a fuss of too. The only oddity was that the place felt really empty for a Thursday evening, which was a shame as the food and drink is great. Not something the staff can necessarily do a lot about, but it did feel quite lonely, and no general background music we could hear. 🤷

Fabulous setting with amazing food. First visit and will definitely be going back. Fair prices for such excellent food. Much larger Inn than I thought, lovely cosy bar area( where you can also eat if you prefer. ) We were seated in the very modern glass area at the back, very trendy and upmarket feel. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Have already recommended this to friends to try.

We had a fabulous Sunday roast with our family (10 adults). We ordered the butchers block which everyone thoroughly enjoyed. It’s a great concept as it made the whole lunch experience really interactive and fun. The service was also excellent and even my parents, who are in their 80’s and complain about everything, complimented the chef!
