- DDianeGreater Boston •7 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoCelebrated my birthday with good friends and had extra special treatment by the staff. Birthday Champagne, yummy chocolates and a tasteful appetizer. My lamb chops were delicious. Consuela was an excellent server. Very customer oriented and attentive to detail. Kept our courses moving and our table neat! Will be returning!More infoTable 1837 at Glen Rock Mill Inn$$$$• American• York•4.8
- JJosephGoldWashington, D.C. Area •253 reviews4.0Dined 6 days agoHad a nice light dinner at Cafe Fresco in downtown Harrisburg. It’s a cool spot with a good vibe. The staff and our waitress were super friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. The appetizers were a highlight, really delicious, and the pizza was solid too, though not quite as memorable as the starters. Overall a great spot for a relaxed dinner.More infoCafe Fresco - Center City$$$$• Fusion / Eclectic• Harrisburg•4.6

The Belvie bread is outstanding, with an excellent cheese topping, a great starter to share. I also had the "petit" grilled Caesar salad, a Belvedere staple and always unique and excellent, as an appetizer. For entrees, my wife's prime rib was cooked to perfection, and my braised short ribs were outstanding. For dessert, our server recommended we share the Chocolate Hazelnut Rocher, and she was right on the mark. It had a dark chocolate shell, encasing a chocolate mousse and surrounded by crunchy burnt hazelnuts and a caramel drizzle. Every bite a delight, would order this every time. Very good and varied wine list, presented on an iPad tablet, and not an overwhelming or off-putting number of choices in terms of selection as some wine lists can be. Pretty much the standard 2x markup for a bottle vs what one would pay retail or order on line, but this is expected and pretty much the same at all restaurants of this caliber. Only one drawback, and it's unavoidable. The main dining room can get pretty loud, given that it's fairly small and in a beautifully restored older building in downtown Lancaster, so not designed for soundproofing! Despite our 5:30 PM reservation on a Tuesday, by the end of our meal the restaurant was packed and getting pretty loud. Nonetheless, it really didn't detract at all from our experience, and we were able to have a normal conversation with one another throughout. Just a great overall meal and experience, would heartily recommend the Belvedere without any hesitation.More infoBelvedere Inn Restaurant and Bar$$$$• American• Lancaster•4.8
