Walked into this charming and quaint bistro in an upscale neighborhood. The three of us were celebrating a birthday. We ordered from a special "School Night" menu. Good portion sizes and good value. Meal came with complimentary warm bread. All of us had the endive salad...consisted of endives, mixed greens, blue cheese, pecans, pears and pomegranate in vinaigrette. Very Refreshing! Lingcod Meuniere filet includes sauteed potatoes, green beans, parsley, capers and croutons in a brown butter sauce. Fish prepared perfectly, beautifully plated, tasty and flavorful. Lamb Shank entree with kidney beans, was lean and tender with meat falls off the bone. It was juicy and full of flavor. Our choice of dessert was the delectable Apple Tarte Tatin which came in layers of thin apple slices on puff pastry with a scoop of vanilla ice cream added. Apple Tarte Tatin was light and enjoyable. Not too sweet. Food was AWESOME!! Waitstaff was warm and welcoming. Servers were attentive and very efficient. Our water glasses were topped off during our entire meal. Will definitely be back!

It's a great local restaurant - ambiance can use a bit of an uplift (i.e. wooden tables not very attractive or fitting for a French restaurant; could use mirrors, better lighting, French arts or posters; paper or tablecloths on tables, flowers on table and/or restaurant; small lamps or candles on tables...things can be done with one time cost so not to endure continuous costs in a restaurant.

I am honored to write a review of our experience at Altier Crenn. Simply put it was fabulous! Each course was a magical experience, an explosion of flavor designed so incredibly beautiful that it was at times difficult to consume or deconstruct. The sommelier guided our choices and timed our wine delivery perfectly. Additionally, the staff created a relaxed and warm atmosphere, answered our multitude of questions, and worked together so elegantly synchronized. The staff invited our table into the kitchen for a peak, and if this wasn't gracious enough we were surprised with a visit by Chef Crenn herself. The best food experience our group has ever had. Kudos and thanks to the team!
