Best French American Restaurants in Hyde Park

Outstanding service and excellently prepared French classics. The menu is short but packed with good choices. Everything we ordered was well prepared. The service was also outstanding across the board. The restaurant needs a facelift, but it didn't detract from the excellent kitchen and service.

Bistro 146 is a true neighborhood gem. The menu is very large and so are the portions, usually plenty to take home. I'm very fussy about fish and every dish is prepared perfectly, never dry or overcooked. Sides are fresh and inventive. Instead of fighting the crowds in the center of town, come here for dinner and you'll be returning again and again.

We were lucky enough to get a reservation for dinner here when we were traveling through the Kingston area. It was a wonderful surprise. The food was amazing French food and my wife and I shared everything because it was so good you felt you had to share it. The location in an old mansion on the top of a hill was perfect. We will go out of our way to return

The Inn is an actual historical building that on occasion fed President Washington and troops. The quaint building with dark wood beams and a wood burning fireplace is the perfect place for a special occasion dinner or a casual local dinner. Our food was delicious and unpretentious , prepared perfectly. Our server Jose could not have nicer or more attentive. We are looking forward to our next meal there.
