Lovely carvery as usual, but ideally would like the cauliflower cheese to be more cheesy as can't really taste the cheese. Needs to be stronger. Couple of other people I know have said that as well, but lovely meal otherwise. Love it!

Once again, it was an outstanding visit. It starts when you are recognised as a regular at the door and are given your choice of table without the need to queue. Then, when taking your order, they already know what you drink. Third, the food is fantastic: Buddha bowl, fried chicken, fries and scrambled egg on toast. All polished off with gusto. Finally, their coffee is the best I have tasted. Love this place. Love the team. Love the food.

I stayed at the Hopton Crown to break a long journey home, and booked dinner as a treat. I wasn't disappointed! I had sea bream, served with confit potato and tenderstem broccoli, with a caviare cream sauce. I asked the waitress about the fish (whether it was whole, or filleted), and was happy that it was fillets. Two of them! Perfectly cooked. The confit potato, not an easy thing to cook perfectly, was just that! Keeping it's shape, but soft and creamy. The tenderstem was also perfect, dark and al dente. Absolutely delicious meal! I had a lemon posset afterwards, rich and indulgent, but not too sweet...the perfect dessert to complete the evening. Such a lovely place, with lovely friendly staff...I would definitely stay (and dine!) here again.

We arrived on time for the table we booked. We were shown to our table straight away. The waiter came straight away to take our drinks order. Minutes later they came and took our food order. We both had an Indian curry and both were lovely and served hot, they came around to ask if everything was okay. Overall it was a pleasant experience.
