Best Modern Southern American Restaurants in Bloomingdale / Brookland

Consistently outstanding! Creative menu, generous portions, and the staff is always friendly.

Glad you put the LARGE PANCAKES back on the menu. My experience at M&H is always a good one as your servers and all that work there are very pleasant and willing to assist one that. is elderly.

Everything was unique and DELICIOUS! Our standout favorite was the dumplings appetizer. I got the shrimp and grits and my husband had the Pekin Duck. Yum Yum!!

Our server was wonderful. She did a great job checking on us, explaining menu items and communicating to the kitchen of a food allergy. Despite it being a full restaurant during our time there, we were still attended to by staff regularly at Miss Toya’s, we could talk and enjoy the music without having to yell -which can be an issue with brunches in general. The food was delicious, brought out hot and promptly after ordering. Brunch was great value for the price.

Got there a few minutes late for our reservation and they were very accommodating about getting us seated quickly. Delish food, hip vibe, and terrific service by Jose G. A great place to get a meal before (or after) a show at the Anthem, so we'll be back!
