Trattoria Varco brings the warmth and conviviality of an Italian neighborhood trattoria to the New Orleans riverfront, pairing handcrafted Italian cuisine with the city's love of gathering and hospitality. Inspired by the shared spirit of living well that connects Italy and New Orleans, it is a place to gather around the table, linger a little longer, and celebrate life’s simple pleasures.Under the direction of Chef Glen Forman, the menu begins with abundant antipasti, crudo, artisanal cheeses and cured meats. Handmade pastas take center stage, from lamb and ricotta agnolotti del plin to paccheri Bolognese and spaghetti cacio e pepe, alongside Italian-inspired preparations of Gulf seafood, grilled meats and seasonal contorni for the table. The intimate Bar Varco transitions from afternoon aperitivo into evening drinks, with a beverage program spanning Italian classics, spritzes, regional wines, espresso and spirit-free cocktails.
