Best Contemporary American Restaurants in Winnetka

We came here for a birthday brunch and sat outside at a nice big table. The service was great and the vibe and style at the restaurant is super cool and fun. The food was so good. We had the short rib chilaquiles, the biscuit breakfast sandwich with homemade chicken sausage, the pancakes, short rib Benedict and the classic breakfast. We also ordered lattes and mimosas with lychee. All of it was really great. We look forward to coming back!

Had my friends birthday dinner here and was totally impressed. First of all the bar lounge area is so lovely with the lighting and the books it almost felt like an elegant library. The drinks were unique we had the strawberry fields drink which was so delicious. When we were seated for our dinner they sat us in the area near the fire place which was very cozy. The place is got a magical feel to it. The service was amazing our waiter was the best. We explained that we were all vegetarians so he gave us some recommendations. We ended up splitting a few different things that were all delicious. We had the French bread, the little gem salad, the cheese board with the 5 different cheeses, the macaroni and cheese and the mushroom pappardelle. The sticky toffee pudding for dessert was so yummy. Definitely coming back here for more birthday fun

Outside was more quiet than inside and service was amazing.

First time at TLP during happy hour and enjoyed it very much. Our server, David, was very friendly, attentive and professional. The entire staff is wonderful! Great atmosphere too. We got a side of fries and onion rings. Very tasty. I got the fish and crisps — very good. My friends got salads and one got the bacon and eggs. They said it was delicious and filling. I will be back!

I really like their Chicken Pot Pie and my wife liked her Chinese Salad. Very good food in a nice atmosphere.
