World class dining, on a bucolic street. Stunning dining room. Fancy and cozy at the same time. Anna, who took care of us, had a spectacular disposition, as did the entire team. back to Anna, She became part of the family in two hours! Cuisine was special. Every dish was not only delicious, but a work of art. Fantastic well curated wine list at very reasonable prices (when was the last time you read that; Especially in a world of 500% mark ups) Old school fancy bread cart was special, accompanied by three types of butter. Vegetarian dishes were incredibly good. Fois Gras preberation was inventive and beautiful. Pasta with fresh white truffles was deftly prepared, and perfectly fragrant. Autumn themed agnelloti screamed HOLIDAYS. Dover Sole, was insanely special in a caviar sauce. Desserts were masterly prepared.Cant wait to return to this flawless place.

Caroline’s as always seems to hit on all cylinders. We were warmly greeted by Sam (IYKYK). We were seated quickly and told about the specials. It was our first time dining with the new winter menu. My wife had the winter wedge salad with the bacon steak add on and had the shrimp toast (this is a must try). The salad was excellent creamy blue cheese, crisp local iceberg and the balsamic reduction danced on the plate (the bacon is a must). And if it’s Thursday at Caroline’s it’s prime rib day. Always succulent with great mashed potatoes and sautéed root veggies. We were so full we took a piece of Smith Island to go. Thank you for always cooking with passion and providing a warm and inviting atmosphere. And Sam is certainly one of the highlights of a trip to Caroline’s.

We love Congress Hall and the Blue Pig Tavern!! Great food and service in a very warm and cozy atmosphere!
