Best Comfort Food Restaurants in Massanutten

As always, we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at C & O last night. We started with the beef carpaccio, which is unique and always fresh and delicious. My husband ordered the steak chinois and I ordered the trout almondine. Both were excellent. The trout was delicious, but was richer than I expected with the butter sauce. I was unable to finish it but brought the leftovers home for lunch. My husband had no trouble finishing the steak. Service was excellent, as always.

Absolutely fantastic southern fare. Best shrimp and grits I’ve had anywhere. Watermelon and goat cheese salad? Sounds ordinary ish but was so crisp and fresh. Pecan pie ? Yum! Excellent.

Oh my: the food here was so spectacular that it made my heart happy. It was honestly the best meal we have had in quite a while. The restaurant is beautiful. The service left a little to be desired; but the food was so good we didn’t even care. Excellent place for a leisurely Sunday brunch. Highly recommend. We can’t wait to go back.
