As Miami locals who have visited The Rum Room many times over the years in support of our local community, we were absolutely delighted with our experience last night during Miami Spice. Honestly, it was the best we’ve ever had there! In the past, we’ve wanted to love The Rum Room more than we did, but this visit was a true standout. The new chef has clearly brought a fresh perspective and elevated the menu in a wonderful way. The menu choices were creative, thoughtfully executed, and delicious. With one exception—the chori burger, which simply wasn’t to one diner’s personal taste—every dish we tried was fantastic. The service was equally impressive. Alex, our server, was outstanding: attentive, warm, and professional. John Moore, the Restaurant Supervisor, was also exceptional and helped make the entire evening feel special. It’s clear that the team genuinely cares about the guest experience. As locals who have continued to support this restaurant, it was especially rewarding to see The Rum Room delivering the kind of elevated dining experience we always hoped it could be. Miami Spice was the perfect opportunity to rediscover this gem, and we left genuinely excited about what’s happening here. Congratulations to the new chef, Alex, John Moore, and the entire team! We’re thrilled to see The Rum Room back on its game and look forward to returning. Keep up the fantastic work!
