- AAnneLondon •5 reviews5.0Dined on Oct 28, 2026A memorable and outstanding lunch. In spite of my allergies I was fully able to enjoy the varied and delicious menu choices with thoughtful adaptations. All of the seasonal and local options were scrumptious but the standout dish was the North Somerset Venison Haunch. This was cooked to perfection for each of our differing tastes, and accompanied by melt in the mouth fondant celeriac cooked in beef tallow, onion puree, deep dark greens of cavolo nero and curly kale with unctuous slow cooked garlic. We also had to try a perfect pairing of coal roasted beetroots with pickled blackberry vinaigrette which carried early autumn flavours with a welcome tang alongside the naturally sweeter onion puree. It was a sublime combination. The staff were so welcoming and outstandingly attentive, even though the restaurant was full of other grateful half term customers and their beautifully behaved offspring. The sprigs natural ferment non alcoholic fizz makes any weekday into a proper celebration.More infoPythouse Kitchen Garden££££• British• Salisbury•4.8
