We were a family party of 7, from toddler to 90 in ages. We were warmly welcomed and made to feel that our every need could be met. (And they were) The ambiance was lively but also calm and relaxed enough to enjoy talking and being together. The food was delicious - everyone was happy with their choice. (Impressed with kids menu) The service was excellent. It was raining heavily when we left and there was no signal to call a cab and the maitre d’hôtel called one for us. It was a very enjoyable family meal out. Would highly recommend going here.

My husband and I were looking for somewhere different to have lunch on a cold, rainy October Saturday. We like to support local businesses when we can and found the Courtyard and figured we'd give it a go. We are so very pleased that we did!! From start to finish our visit was just lovely - lovely staff and environment. My husband had the confit duck and I had the roasted butternut squash wellington along with 2 sides - chunky chips and bacon & chive roasted potatoes - everything was absolutely stunning. Cannot fault the food or the service we will most definitely back back for our wedding anniversary in November! Oh and we also bought 2 pieces of cake to take home for our son - he was very impressed with the chocolate fudge cake and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Good Sunday lunch at a quiet country pub. The beef was excellent and the vegetables not overcooked as they often are at small restaurants. Portions of a good size and delicious Yorkshire puddings and roasties.

We went for lunch on Saturday myself & a friend. They had a wedding happening at the same time, so it was quite noisy, but that was fine by us, you would expect that. The young lady who served us was brilliant. She was under a lot of pressure what with wedding guests & diners, but she coped beautifully. A lovely setting, lovely food, and we were well taken care of by our waitress .
