Busy when we arrived, lots unexpected, big group guests so the restaurant was packed. However were treated very well, great service, lovely food. We will return! Thankyou to your fab staff

We just had a burger and chips before a rugby game, but they were seriously good burgers, freshly grilled over fire, and excellent chips. The wine list was sensible. The staff were very friendly and expert; all dressed up for halloween. We also had some drinks at the bar after the game. The bar is well worth a visit, not just for good cocktails but the Guinness was properly poured and the atmosphere very welcoming. All round excellent experience

Amazing steak night, cooked to perfection & included mushroom, chips, peas, a sauce of your choice & a bottle of wine. Top area near the bar is dog friendly which is a bonus. Excellent service, nothing too much trouble. Will definitely go again.

A memorable and outstanding lunch. In spite of my allergies I was fully able to enjoy the varied and delicious menu choices with thoughtful adaptations. All of the seasonal and local options were scrumptious but the standout dish was the North Somerset Venison Haunch. This was cooked to perfection for each of our differing tastes, and accompanied by melt in the mouth fondant celeriac cooked in beef tallow, onion puree, deep dark greens of cavolo nero and curly kale with unctuous slow cooked garlic. We also had to try a perfect pairing of coal roasted beetroots with pickled blackberry vinaigrette which carried early autumn flavours with a welcome tang alongside the naturally sweeter onion puree. It was a sublime combination. The staff were so welcoming and outstandingly attentive, even though the restaurant was full of other grateful half term customers and their beautifully behaved offspring. The sprigs natural ferment non alcoholic fizz makes any weekday into a proper celebration.
