Best American Restaurants in Wailua (Kauai)

Have been to Avalon many times now. My expectations are always high and always exceeded. Not sure how they do it. The food is a solid 12 on a scale of 10.

Great service by very pleasant Cherine (sp?) She advised chicken Quesada and Potstickers and suggested that a salad would be too much. She was right on all counts. Cool, breezy, got table we wanted. Really cannot add anything but "we enjoyed."

We had drinks at the Sandbox bar the first night we stayed at 1 Hotel. The drinks were made perfecting we sat at the high top we had a great view of the sunset and the fire dancer that performed. Our server Zach from Nashville was very nice and accommodating he had good recommendations for drinks. The next day we sat on the beach at a cabana our server was Zach again he checked in on us frequently and worked hard throughout the day making sure all the guest were taken care of while he was training another server. We had seltzers and beers I also ordered fresh coconut water right out of the coconut. For dinner we ate at the Sandbox and Zach was our waiter I ordered the local fish with fresh asparagus and beans that were grown right on the premises and my husband ordered the pizza which they specialty made since it wasn’t on the menu. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. Our server Zack was wonderful courteous and attentive.

Mother's Day brunch for the wife, daughter, and her grandchildren. Great atmosphere and great food and desserts. Wife and daughter loved so I am happy.

We had a pleasant experience at the restaurant when we were warmly greeted by hostess Evelyn who sat us earlier than our reservation time. She was patient and informative about the other dinner events there. The food was good with affordable prices. We enjoyed the open-air atmosphere, and the entertainment. We’ll be back!
