As an alternative to cooking dinner on thanksgiving, I (and quite a number of other folks) decided to eat at what seemed to be a great steakhouse. I had never been there before. It turned out that the place was overbooked all evening and, therefore, the wait was really long (a little over thirty minutes). The number of diners also created a noise level that was probably greater than usual. Nonetheless, the food was spectacular, drinks were as well. The service was good, though our waiter was very slow relative to others. For example, we ordered a bottle of wine which came to the table warm after at least a 20 minute wait. The waiter at least brought us an ice bucket which quickly cooled the wine. The decor is really beautiful and the manager took the time to check on us and stayed quite a while asking about us as we praised the food and drinks. This restaurant is immediately one of my new favorites. It’s great for special occasions but I would book an early time slot in case there is a wait. The staff and kitchen really put in the effort to meet everyone’s needs. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Matchbox is our favorite restaurant in One Loudoun. The food and service is always excellent. Prices are mostly fair. Our only complaint is the Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc 6 0z. glass is priced at $19. We understand mark ups, but you can just about get the whole bottle for that price!
