Best American Restaurants in Landings

The Capital Grille in Fort Lauderdale is a special place, and not just because of the exceptional quality of the food and the delicious meals, but because of the incredible people who make the experience what it is. We have been coming to this location for close to 10 years, and for the past couple of years, we have made the bar lounge area our regular spot. There is just something about the atmosphere that makes every visit feel warm, welcoming, and familiar. Over the years, we have had the pleasure of seeing many familiar faces, and it is wonderful to see the longevity and consistency of the staff. One person we are always especially happy to see is the awesome Terry! We have known Terry since our days of sitting in the main dining room, and it has been a pleasure continuing to see him now that we frequent the lounge. Even if it's only for a brief moment, given his current position and responsibilities, we always enjoy the opportunity to catch up and share a few laughs. In fact, we have always thought Terry would make an outstanding server. He has such a wonderful personality, a genuine smile, and an ability to make people feel welcome. We would love to have even more opportunities to enjoy those great conversations with him! We have also had the pleasure of having Del as our server during our last few visits, and we have enjoyed every minute of it. Del is such a kindhearted person, something we could certainly use more of in this world. His genuine personality, warm demeanor, and top-notch service make every visit that much more enjoyable. He goes above and beyond, and we always appreciate the experience he provides. It's also always great seeing Josh time and time again. After all these years of coming in and sitting in the lounge, it's nice to have those familiar faces, catch up, and enjoy the great conversations. Josh has certainly been part of what makes this location feel like home. My full review will be on Google. Not enough room here.

Our dinner was amazing!!! The service was over the top our server Teddy was fun and knowledgeable and made it a great experience! Everything we ate was so delicious and flavorful. We started with the fresh mozzarella, clams, meatballs, and sausage with peppers and of course the famous Philly Cheesesteaks the best in the country. Some of us ordered the Lobster Francaise over risotto it was one of the best dishes I have ever eaten at a restaurant, and others had the Chicken Parm and Veal Chop Marsala and said they were amazing. We finished with chocolate cake, apple pie dessert, and the stuffed chocolate chip cookie and everything was a 10!! If you haven't been here what are you waiting for? the food and service are a 20 It's an experience you won't forget!!! Thank you, Steve, and team

Very nice overlooking the inter coastal the food was delicious and Ava our server was outstanding Every question regarding the menu and food was spot on by Ava. Very tasty desserts as well.

Friendly atmosphere, delicious food. While the live singer was talented and did a great job, the microphone/speakers were way too loud. Without the establishment being as small as it is, the volume was a bit too overbearing. My husband and I were sitting across from each other and strained to have a conversation…and were seated at the table furthest away from the stage. All that said would definitely return as the food was delicious!
