- CChelseyYorkshire •2 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoCannot thank the staff enough, there was a slight miscommunication and this was not only rectified quickly, but more than made up for. We had the same waiter both days we attended The Rise, he was wonderful and very understanding. The food was just incredible and worth every penny. Cannot wait to returnMore infoThe Rise Restaurant - The Grand, York££££• British• York•4.6
- LLesleyBirmingham/West Midlands (county) •4 reviews5.0Dined on Oct 27, 2026We booked an afternoon tea as it was a gift to celebrate our Golden Wedding Anniversary. The food was absolutely lovely and all the staff were very friendly and attentive. We really loved the venue as the tea room is beautiful and in really lovely surroundings. We will definitely be going back very soon.More infoDoddington Tea Room££££• Afternoon Tea• Lincoln•4.5
- KKayLondon •3 reviews5.0Dined on Oct 24, 2026We went on a particularly busy Saturday night and despite being short-staffed, the two waitresses did an amazing job. Me and my sister were celebrating our birthday and we received a complimentary glass of prosecco, which was a lovely touch. We both chose the rib eye steak which was one of the best steak's we'd ever had - perfect. The restaurant itself was lovely with a really nice atmosphere. Knocked a star off for value, as the desserts could have done with being a bit bigger. However, heartily recommend this restaurant, in fact we did, to our fellow guesthouse visitors!More infoThe Old Bakery Restaurant££££• Modern European• Lincoln•4.6
- CClaireYorkshire •1 review5.0Dined on Oct 21, 2026The overall experience was lovely and will be back to the Milner Hotel, the only criticism would be that on the Afternoon Tea we would have preferred more savoury choices, like 2 of the mini Yorkshire puddings, as these were delicious and maybe egg and cress sandwiches or prawn sandwiches. My Husband and I are not a fan of macaroons, as they are a bit sickly sweet, but the scones were delicious. This is just personal preference but it will not deter us from going back againMore infoAfternoon Tea @ The Garden Room££££• Afternoon Tea• York•4.3
