The venue is beautiful and a calm setting with great views. The food was on the whole was ample and a good selection. The sandwiches were a little dry on both sides and although there was a great selection of cakes, there were three of us and sometimes only 1 or 2 of the mini cakes on offer. Everything else had three eg three sandwiches, three scones Every all it was a great experience and value for money.

Overall lovely experience. We were initially a little concerned about how attentive staff would be due to Christmas parties next door, however we had no reason to worry. The young lady waiting our table was polite, attentive and a credit to her team. Our meal felt intimate and the food itself came out in perfect timing and very well presented. It also tasted great. The restaurant itself was quiet and not very busy. Very happy with our experience

It is a nice restaurant with a view of Southend airport which currently is very quite (the airport) The staff were very helpful and friendly which was great, the food was good and even with the starter of my partner being slightly over cooked, they removed it from the bill and thanked us for our genuine feedback. Overall i would return to the restaurant and could recommend it.

Excellent afternoon tea, freshly prepared, taste preferences adhered to as per booking request. Food was delicious, we couldn't finish all top tier cakes, requested a takehome box at end. Staff checked we were happy with our selections, they made sure plenty of tea available throughout the sitting. All staff very friendly professional, made a nice birthday treat for friend. Restaurant very very quiet, but we actually liked it, meant we could hear each other & have a good catch up chat. Enjoyable couple of hours.
