My friend and I visited City Spice and it was lovely. The food is perfectly cooked and not too spicy. The portion sizes decent and the service was good. We booked a table and whilst they had walk ins the restaurant was absolutely full so in my opinion best to book if you want a specific time. Well worth a visit and we will be back.

The food was great and the service was very good, down side the wine was expensive and awful Suggest sell the wine cheaper as so bad or get better wine in at the price you are selling it at The Rioja was like a oak barrel filled with red water

The service is always excellent here and the food delicious. There were 3 of us and we all agreed; ideal for our reunion. I had never experienced Duck Tikka before which was amazing- tender and had a wonderful taste. The chicken tikka madras had the right amount of heat and the tarka daal was made for sharing and unlike so many other restaurants, wasn't runny and they didn't skimp om the lentils or garlic. Beautiful texture and flavour. No wonder they have the chef of the year who makes TV appearances. Not to be missed!!

Waiters are pushy (like in a hurry to make you order ) still eating popadums and already asked twice if we were ready to order. We were installedon a very small table and when I asked if we could be sat at a bigger table as we were going to order multiple dishes the waiter installed us an extra table. Food is good, some dishes are better here and some others are better elsewhere on brick lane. Value for money is excellent, and cheaper than competitors.
