Y.O. Ranch Steakhouse
Our waiter was AMAZING.
He was knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. We had a very enjoyable and unrushed experiance.
Steak,Fish and Wild game were all top quality.
Quintessential Texas steakhouse.
You will not be disappointed.
Absolutely wonderful as always. Dinner or lunch menu, neither will disappoint.
AMAZING!! My husband had the ribeye, I had the bone-in filet and it did not disappoint. The brussel sprouts were average.. wouldn’t recommend.
I went for my boyfriends birthday. We ordered the tomahawk steak, gouda Mac and cheese, and fries. We also ordered the mango margarita. We prefer our steaks to be well done or medium well. The waiter explained that due to the size of the steak, it only comes medium. He told me that if it came out and wasn’t as done as I’d like it, I could let him know and it could be cooked longer after it was cut. It was definitely medium when it came out and I just could not do it. I didn’t want to bother with having it sent back so I just had it boxed up and placed it in the oven the next day. It was delicious once fully cooked! The Mac and cheese was amazing! The fries were fries. I mean, you can’t really mess those up. There was complementary piece of chocolate cake provided for my boyfriend for his birthday. It was terrible. Overall, it was a great dining experience, the food was good, and our waiter was perfect.
Tomas served us and he was spectacular. He explained the menu in detail and thoroughly answered every question. His suggestions were on the money. The venison rollups were outstanding. The buffalo filet was delicious. And the pecan pie with ice cream was just sweet enough. Eager to go back.
If you have not been to the YO Ranch Steakhouse, I would recommend going there at least once. The restaurant is very Old West/Cowboy and if you are in Dallas, you might be looking for that type of atmosphere. We have been there several times over the years. We live in Houston. This last time, the restaurant ambiance is exactly how we remember it, the service fantastic, the menu just fine for selections, but the quality of food was just ok and not worth the money. My husband ordered buffalo medium, it was served well done. I ordered a New York strip and it was a poor cut of meat with many ligaments going through it. Cook should not seen that and not served it. I think the next time we are in Dallas, we should try a new place for this kind of money.
My second time coming here and the food is absolutely amazing! The service is exceptional and anytime I’m in Dallas I’ll always come here to eat.
Just fine... it did not live up to my expectations. Food was good, but not great.
Pretty good, but a bit “touristy”. Probably wouldn’t return.
The service was fantastic, the food was fantastic. Convenient location with parking nearby. We will definitely be back.
Excellent steakhouse. Best we have experienced in Dallas.
We loved everything about YO Ranch Steakhouse. The buffalo filet mignon did not disappoint. Even my picky eater started doing the happy dance when she tried the steak, Gouda Mac & cheese, & green beans. We will definitely be back!
Our server was polite, attentive, efficient and did not rush us to order. We started with the deep fried pimento & cheese balls in a spicy sauce. They were crisp on the outside with a warm, creamy cheese center and the sauce had just the right amount of spice. Next was the house salad good but nothing special. The entrée was the local farm ribeye and loaded backed potato. The steak was done as ordered, a medium rare, it was juicy and tender with a nice char on the outside. The potato was loaded with butter, cheese, sour cream and bacon bitts. Since the servings are so big my wife and I split one order. Our server was happy to help by having the salad made on two plates and bring us extra plates for the other items.
I noticed the manger stopping at each table to chat with the guest, he did not make it to us before we left but while we were waiting for our taxi he came outside and apologized for missing us in side, asked about our dinner, service and thanked us for coming.
We had a wonderful dinner and overall experience at Y.O. Ranch Steakhouse and would recommend it anyone looking for a good Texas steak.
This was our second trip in. The food and service is fantastic. The staff really makes you feel at home. My wife and I really like the atmosphere.
Best food and service ever received. Fried Oysters and Venison Rollups are best appetizer.
Very much enjoyed eating outside in the great location. Fantastic steak and great amount of food. Highly recommend. Loved or service quick, friendly, and helpful. Must stop there on your trip to Dallas!
We had the pleasure of enjoying an amazing meal at Y.O. Ranch Steakhouse on friday June 7th. The food was amazing and I highly recommend visiting this restaurant for anyone visiting Dallas. We had the venison roll ups and antelope carpaccio for appetizers with the bison filet and elk tenderloins for our main course. Our server John was awesome and took amazingly good care of the three of us. We will definitely be going back the next time we are in town again.
The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. The decor reminded me of the Y.O. Ranch itself. My ribeye was cooked perfectly and was delicious. My wife said her filet mignon was the best steak she has had in years. We enjoyed everything about the Y.O. Steakhouse and give it our highest recommendation.
I visited this restaurant on the basis of online reviews & I wasn’t disappointed - my friend & I went while in Dallas on a road trip - to try the famed Texan steaks ...however, I ended up choosing the Espresso crusted elk loin with port reduction & I have no regrets! The manager seems to make a point of saying hello to most guests too, which is a nice touch. While dressed in a dapper suit, turns out he hides some pretty funky socks - I appreciate hidden fashion dimensions like that :)
Excellent dinning experience. Our waiter made all the right complimentary food and drink suggestions.
Thanks to john our experience was very pleasant. Our food was cooked to our stated tastes.
Had the local sourced ribeye, medium rare, and it was perfection. Brussel sprouts and goat cheese grits as shared sides were also wonderful. Couldn't have asked for a better meal.
What an awesome dinner...service, food and ambiance were perfect. Jorge was our server and he was the supreme host. Will return again and again.
The food was great and the service was excellent.
Was in from PA. Amazing experience
We celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary here, and we will absolutely be back! Our waiter and servers were phenomenal, food was delicious, drinks perfect, and atmosphere so fun. I would absolutely recommend!
I think the YO Ranch Steakhouse is outstanding, so much so that I kind of wish I lived in Dallas so I could go back often and eat my way through the menu. Marcos, our server, was friendly and knowledgeable, but he did not crowd us and let us take our time. Cocktails were excellent. The Iceberg Wedge was scrumptious. Her petit filet, garnished with onions and musrooms, was superb. My rib-eye (au poivre) was succulent, juicy, and full-of-flavor. It was so tender you could probably cut it with a butter knife. The portobello mushrooms on the side were amazing. To finish, we had Jack Daniels pecan pie, and it is to die for. A wonderful experience!
You cannot ask for a better steakhouse. Food was phenomenal. Service was outstanding. We ate here twice in the week we were in Dallas. Had John as our server both times. Everything was to perfection
The Elk loin was excellent, but I was disappointed with the Brussels sprouts side that I ordered.
Overall good but not great. I expected great at ala cartel steak prices starting at > $30. I know for certain I have had equal to better tasting steak at more value based establishments such as Texas Roadhouse.
I ate the New York strip Steak.
It was very good.
I would like to come your steak house near future.
I rarely go to these expensive steak houses. For the price you pay, the food and service must be perfect, and it rarely is.
I ordered a petite Filet, medium rare. When our steaks came to our table, mine looked much bigger. I cut into it, and it was cooked medium well. I flagged a waiter, and the agreed the steak was too big and medium well. They must have given me someone elses order. The took it away, and about 5 minutes later brought me a petite filet, but this one was rare (just seared 1/4" on each side, blue in the middle), not medium rare. They watched as I cut into it, and I think they immediately saw that it was not right. I did not want to wait another 5 minutes because my guests had already mostly finished there steaks. So, I just kept it and said it was OK. 3 or 4 minutes later I think the restaurant manager stopped by, because I think the wait staff had told him the second steak was not right. He apologized and asked if I wanted it cooked longer, but by this time I had enough of the customer service and just wanted to be left alone.
The service was otherwise very good, but the first time, the waiter brought the wrong steak, and the second time the cook did not prepare the steak correctly. Sorry, but for a $30 steak, that is not acceptable. The manager did not offer to take the steak off the invoice, which would have been the correct thing to do.
our waiter ricardo was awsome great food nice venue will be back
Get the Bison filet and the bison bacon bites as an appetizer. Very good.
Our server was amazing, the food was amazing for the price and the oysters were to die for.
Great service and food was amazing. Great option before an AA event.
We had an amazing dinner. It was such a wonderful time celebrating with friends. The food was outstanding and the service was even better. We are all excited to go back and have already picked out the next dishes we are going to try.
Amazing food, great service and lovely seating outside!
I am a repeat YO Ranch customer. I love their food. Has a farm to table vibe.
This was Mother's Day and they had a special menu. The food was excellent as always but I really like their regular menu. I especially love their wild game meats. Their venison chops are to die for. Service is always good. Excellent selection of spirits and wines.
Their regular menu salads and veggies are large enough for two to share.
I look forward to my next visit.
Excellent food! Excellent service! The cactus martini was to die for! Only complaint is that they didn’t have a quail or pheasant entree.
