   Music was nice the lobster was tough and dry but presentation was good...tuna was ok...taste was nothing special but presentation was nice....enjoyed manager walk thru that was a nice touch.

   This was one of the best birthday dinners I’ve ever had. I’ve never eaten a more tender steak in my life, service was great, pleasant atmosphere, and you can’t beat the table side martini. I look forward to visiting Wendell’s again.

    Couple of issues with the food got my steak over cooked so had to send it back, as well as our lava cake was not exactly “lava” just a chocolate cake with ice cream. Bit of a let down. Other then that it was pretty good

    Although the music was enjoyable,it was a little loud for having only partial tables occupied. Made it a little hard to talk and hear right next to you. Everything else was amazing.

    Started with corn meal crusted chili rellenos. Didn't care for it, but I'm a very picky eater. Filet mignon was perfect. Service was very good. We got someone else's check and was notified later that night. Refunded the charge and then charged the room with correct amount. Guitar player, sorry I don't know his name, was fabulous!

    The only complaint I have was the guitar was too loud at some points, so I wouldn’t hear parts of conversation and had to have my friend repeat herself multiple times.. both of us are in our late 20s so mature ears were not a factor. Just turn his amp down a tiny bit and you’ll be fine. Otherwise everything was outstanding.

    The food was delicious, as expected. The service was mediocre at best. After being seated we waited 10 mins for the waitress to come to our table. She didn’t welcome us, ask if we’ve dined there before, tell us the specials, etc. She took our drink and appetizer order and asked if we were ready to order entrees, making it seem rushed and not your typical fine dining experience. We are vacationing in the area, but definitely won’t be back to Wendell’s.

    We always stop in to eat at Wendell's when we're in town. I typically order the filet mignon, but went with braised short ribs this time. Not a fan. However, I do recommend the prosciutto goat cheese as an appetizer. Husband got the lobster mac and cheese. It was dry. Service was exceptional. Loved listening to the guitar player.

    Was surprised that when we were seated that they just put rolled up silverware on the table. Not what I would expect for a restaurant with $50.00 (and above) entrees. Rushed us to order. Early reso (5:30) Empty dining room. No non-alcoholic beer options. The bottle of wine that was ordered was out of stock. We ordered two appetizers - when the first one arrived there were no appetizer plates to use to share the dish. By the time the second appetizer arrived the first had been eaten and we had to ask that plates be brought so that we could continue to eat. Service evened out by the time entrees arrived.

    The service was great but I feel the food was way overpriced. The food was very good but shouldn't cost as much as y'all are charging. I pretty sure I wouldn't eat here again.

    Drinks were extremely slow. Waitress spilled beef juice all across my pants. Salad and appetizers arrived at the same time as meal. Waitress was very bland with zero personality

    Food was ok. Crab cakes are definitely not made in house. Got entree. Steak was mediocre. The steel was not flush with the wood on their steak knives and I ended up getting cut on my finger. Manager blamed it on them being “new” knives. Then our salad comes out, literally 20 min into us eating our entree. At that point I was done. I immediately asked for our check. Will not be going back.

    Table of 8 was so noisy it took away the enjoyment of the music. Guitar player was excellent. 2 of our group ordered the New York strip and it had very good flavor but so much gristle that it was hard to chew

    Our Waiter was CLEARLY overworked or just had too many tables to cover because he was VERY slow, very inattentive and almost angry when we asked for anything. He even rolled his eyes several times when we asked for things. Our wine we ordered for dinner got there after we were already eating our dinner, so that ended up being a waste of a huge bottle of wine basically. I was really hoping for this experience to be better based on the prior reviews and the "hype" about this place, but it truly just wasn't very good. The steak was ok- not the best I have ever had. Salads were not great at all. Drinks were very weak for what we paid for them.

    Good offerings, somewhat traditional steak house fare. Great presentation. Great service. A little pricey, but hey, we’re over 500 miles from home and at beautiful resort in the mountains.
