   Loved this restaurant however they changed the risotto from their mushroom risotto with demi glaze to some other one with chopped up asparagus and tomatoes. I know, I know, first world problems; but we were so excited about the scallop dish and there was no update of their menu to note the change. Would have chosen a different dish if I knew about the change.

   Surprise find near our resort. The food and service were exceptional. We were treated very well, especially late on a Saturday night when I'm sure they wanted to wind the dining room down. Don't be deceived by the location or exterior. The dining room is stylish and the food and drink selections were diverse and delicious.

   The restaurant is set in a shopping center near a horse barn. Our server Heather was really sweet. The food was decent and the interior decor is nice, however, the flies from the horse farm on the patio and inside of the restaurant are relentless! Unfortunately, we will not be returning.

    The food was very good. Our server Marco was very inexperienced. He tried but he needs more training. We ordered a bottle of wine and he just poured it without asking if we wanted to taste it first. We had to ask if there were any specials. He wanted to take our dinner order before even bringing the wine We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and we felt rushed. We had to slow Marco down. The hostess was very inappropriately dressed. This was our first time there since new ownership. Other than the food, I was not impressed.

    Overpriced beer, meat was tough, bill included a tip and then they asked for another tip from us. Overall the restaurant was nice but it isgreatly over rated. Other than the meat, the facility was good but nothing special. There are other restaurants that are better in Williamsburg that I would recommend.

    We were disappointed with the Mothers Day buffet for $70pp, It was probably my oversight in not seeing that it was a buffet but still....I am a long time fan of Waypoint and have dined on birthdays and anniversaries. I know that COVID has changed the dining experience but I have to be honest. Positives: Staff was welcoming and attentive Waitress was cordial Salmon was moist Ahi Tuna was good Mussels were tasteless Roasted veggies were nicely cooked, not overdone Negatives: The crab soup had minimal crab, mostly cream Truffle Mac was dried out and I didn't see any cheese so I passed on it Desserts were minuscule Grits on dinner buffet? The vibe was more like Captain George's Our dining area was very crowded with my chair up against the diner at the table behind me so I had to squeeze in and out of my seat

    They had a Mother’s Day buffet only. I made the reservation thinking that we could also order from the menu as it was not stated that it was only a buffet. I don’t care for buffets but gave it a try. The food was not fresh and it was more of a brunch type. For $70, it was very disappointing. Our reservation was at 6:00. Not brunch time.

    This was our first time visiting this restaurant and the Mother’s Day brunch was such a disappointment. The website did not advertise that the brunch was all day. Our family made a reservation after brunch to order from the dinner menu because the brunch options were not worth the price of $70 per person. We ended up staying and having the brunch which was completely overpriced. The food options and quality of food was not worth the money. The bread was hard from sitting out, food was not warm, meat like bacon and sausage was overcooked/tough. Also, 20% gratuity was automatically added for a buffet which is absurd. There was 4 people in our party and our water was not even refilled. The service wasn’t too bad and the restaurant was clean. Would love to try this restaurant again but this experience has us unsure.

    The price for this Mother's Day event totaled $325 for three of us with a $50 bottle of wine. I would not have an issue with this, but unfortunately, there was nothing notable about the meal that warranted the price. The service was good in general, and the waitress was friendly. However, the croissants were stale, and both the bacon and sausages were overcooked. The omlette was good, but again, not so much that the price of the meal was justified. I would suggest that I have had better meals at a hotel breakfast buffet for roughly one third of the cost.

    To be brief, I truly think the buffet needs to be more vast to cover $70 per adult and $28 per child. With mandatory 20% gratuity...that's a bit steep (and yes we're tippers, I'm simply painting the picture for those considering going on a special day). I would love to stop by to try their regular menu on a day without the buffet, I feel our experience would be better. Good food, ambiance was fine. I'd give it another try.

    Very dissatisfied. Significantly OVERpriced Mother’s Day brunch @ $70 a plate which was not shared at time of seating. In fact, we were giving their regular menu bill of fare and with in 3 minutes a service supervisor came and pulled them back, sharing their only option was the buffet. While having a good selection of food items, entrees were cold and unable to be kept warm enough through their chafing trays. Prime rib portion was very small and grits were clumpy and thick — far from creamy. Key lime tart was not set and runny. Final bill did not reflect the $50 charge (credit) we paid to save our reservation through OpenTable. We were not advised it was buffet only, thinking we were able to order from the regular menu. Coffee was good!

    Have always enjoyed this restaurant but had not been in a while Family all live in different cities in Va. Richmond, Newport News, Virginia Beach and Northern Va and Williamsburg is our meeting place. Heard they were under new ownership and have enjoyed their other restaurant in Yorktown. Food here was delicious and great selections to chose from. Love the room we were in. It’s nice for a party our size (8)

    We were very impressed with the menu … it was hard to make our selection. We chose a few appetizers that were fantastic. That was followed with our entrees. That were also wonderful. Desert was delicious. Our server couldn’t have been more delightful and attentive. We enjoyed celebrating a birthday and Mother’s Day! We will definitely return soon!

    Our waiter was very good, he made great suggestions. We tried the shrimp and crab fritters and they were absolutely fantastic as he said they would be. I had the pan seared scallops with saffron risotto and my wife had the petite filet with brandy cream sauce and potato gratin. Everything was outrageous, on point with a 3 star restaurant in NYC. The presentation was beautiful and the drinks were even better. This is a must if you're in the Colonial Williamsburg area for a couples or adult group dinner, not really a place to bring kids.
