We came in after a soccer game around 8:00am on a Saturday night . We were early for a reservation and they had a seated right away. The problem was that once we ordered food it took quite a while to get it. The server explained that the kitchen was backed up. I wish he would explain that a little bit earlier instead of us having to try to wave him down. He kept peeking around the cashier station to see if we had our food yet. Apparently different people serve the food. The food is a little over priced for the portions. It was tasty but the recommendation by the server to order 3 mezza servings was a little much since prices were between $12-18 each. Three of us ordered the flank steak with cauliflower purée and chimichurri sauce. Tasty but very small portions. MoreOpenTable Diner -
Very good restaurant. It’s a pricey for what you get. Would not say it’s a good value for the money. My husband ordered a cocktail, and he said it was ok, but wouldn’t ordered another one. The service was a little slow. It took a while before our order was taken. The location of the restaurant is really good- right by the metro stop. Overall a good restaurant, but be prepared to spend a lot of money. MoreOpenTable Diner -
This was my second visit in two weeks. We liked it so much the first time that we decided to come back with a couple of friends and we were not disappointed. The food was still great. However, there was one thing different. The first time we ate in September we ordered Donburi with rib eye beef and it came with sliced beef which was just awesome. This time the dish looked different, more like shredded beef instead of the slices. While still delicious, the sliced version was heaps better. It looked better and seemed to taste better the first time. Other than that, everything else was great. The edamame could have used more salt. The service was also very friendly and attentive. We went to Espita Mezcaleria as a group of 6 for an early Sunday dinner. The food and drinks were all outstanding, from the salsas all the way to the entrees. Our table was definitely the rowdiest, but I think only because we dined on the earlier side. I would highly recommend and definitely plan to return. MoreOpenTable Diner -
Of all of the times I’ve come to this establishment, it seems as though the waiter kept forgetting about us. Once we received our food, he didn’t check on us. We waited for awhile before he came back to order drinks with our food and it took long to bring it. In addition, when we were ready for desert, he took a 15 minutes to bring the desert menu. I hate to complain, but the service could have been better especially after I boast about this restaurant to my partner. MoreOpenTable Diner -
My husband I I brought my mother, who is 84 and hard of hearing, to Acacia on Saturday night. Much as I enjoy live music, I was dismayed to see a jazz trio letting up, as we arrived, because I was afraid we wouldn’t be able to hear each other speak. The staff quickly sized up the situation and led us to the patio, where we sat in a gentle summer breeze, listening to muted but still enjoyable jazz in the background, and conversing over delicious bison kebabs, glazed salmon, vegetables, and salads. It was a delightful evening in an unexpected oasis in the city. MoreOpenTable Diner -

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at Marcel's. What a treat! We both had the 3 course dinner. It was well worth the money -- every course was superb! The waiter gave us very good advice regarding our course selections. Service was attentive but not intrusive. We will return for our next special occasion! MoreOpenTable Diner -

An international city with the food chops to show for it, Washington D.C. is brimming with new restaurants, coffee houses and spirited bars. And, while tablecloth dining has it’s place here (diplomats gotta eat), so does the casual yet delicious lunch spot (interns gotta eat, too). Near the Capitol, historic eateries and classic menus are favored by many. Excellent Filipino food can be found in Columbia Heights. Near Georgetown, upscale bistros and farm-to-table spots are the order of the day, and Adams Morgan is home to many international restaurants and locally owned cafes.
