Vintage has the best steak I’ve had in Calgary. The steaks are always cooked to perfect with a perfect crust on the steak. The Brussels sprouts are incredible as are other sides like the scalloped potatoes. We usually also get the scallops, and I don’t know if I’ve had better scallops anywhere else. Vintage is my go to for special occasions.

We came to Vintage Chophouse to celebrate our anniversay and were greeted by a fabulous waiter and some bubbly to begin our celebration. The atmosphere was as I remembered from previous visits however the music was not background music. It was mostly 80's dance music and louder than comfortable for dining. We began our meal with the Confit Duck Tart that was delicious. I ordered steak with the mushroom side and it was perfect. My partner ordered the Arctic Char that came with risotto. Although the risotto was tasty if was slightly undercooked so some of the rice was still "crunchy". We finished our meal with the pecan pie which was also delicious. Our waiter was wonderful. He was informative and on point. All in all it was a lovely evening with great food overall.

Impeccable...from start to finish. Outstanding table service, incredibly delicious appies (confit duck), main course (ribeye & lobster), and decedent desserts... a fantastic steakhouse in the heart of downtown. A true gem in the city.

I rarely write reviews but this was ridiculous; Don’t get a seat in the section we sat in took an hour for our entree while every other table got their orders. Drinks took forever. Maybe our waiter was having an off night?? Food was excellent, no complaints.

To me, the quality of the meat is not very good. I am not impressed with too much char on the steak or even in the braised beef rib. I could taste the bitterness. I mentioned that it tasted too much burnt and the answer is next time I can ask for less burnt, so then why didn’t you ask at the beginning. The vintage salad also didn’t taste good.

Food and service were excellent. The teak portions are a bit large for my wife and I so we decided to share which was not a problem at all and allowed us to try a few appetizers.

My partner and I chose Vintage Chophouse based on their steak selection and cocktail menu online. We arrived an hour early to have a cocktail or two at the bar, and were well looked after by the barman Derek- he even catered to our off-menu requests. We then continued to our table and had the joy of having Jelmer as our server for the evening. He was attentive, warm, funny and professional. He suggested the perfect bottle of red after hearing about my flavour preferences. We enjoyed this with our juicy, perfectly cooked ribeye & tenderloin steaks. These were served sliced for easy sharing, on warm cast iron plates so they stayed warm. We had several appys first of course- highly recommend the scallops! Best I've ever had!! We shared some sides with the steaks- all delicious and generous serves. The team at Vintage have really gone the extra mile to ensure every guest has the best dining experience possible. We will be back for date night again soon!

The food, service and ambiance at vintage were all excellent. My partner and I celebrated our anniversary here for dinner and they greeted us with some bubbly to start. The cocktail list was great as well. Unfortunately they didn’t have any IPAs available that night, but the drinks we did have were very tasty. We ordered the tenderloin cooked rare and it was one of the most delicious steaks either of us had ever had. Overall we had a great experience and we hope to be back soon!

Service is always top notch at Vintage and it is always a main consideration when we go out for a steak night. The only issue we have with the restaurant is the changes on the menu. We like change, but not at the expense of the most popular menu items. Where is the tuna tartar? Also, why does vintage not take advantage of the awesome local micro breweries in Calgary? It’s poor decisions like this that make us consider other steakhouses. Sadly.

Our server in the lounge was amazing. She was very connected to our experience and made it first time guest, who is a colleague of mine, feel extremely special going through the experience of eating at the restaurant. With all of the chain steak houses in Canada and the “me twos” with different names; this is an experience that will be remembered no matter the occasion family or business!

Had lunch Thursday and Friday. The difference between the two days was a paradox. Both days two guests. Thursday - steak sandwich and salad, and burger and fries. Both very good. On Friday - Fish and chips, and burger and salad. Fish and chips were bad. Fish greasy and under cook and chips were so hard and crunchy that one was concerned about breaking a tooth. I would recommend Vintage Chophouse & Tavern to a friend because they are important asset to a dying community. and we want them to stay in business.

We were disappointed to find that the menu in the restaurant was different than the menu on the website … a big deal as our guests have/had a narrow palate and dinner was a celebration in their honour (40th anniversary) so we wanted to show them a special time. Service was slow and impatient with poor response to questions to start, but improved as the restaurant quieted. Clearly a staffing level issue. Generally feel pretty let down as we’d had an excellent experience several months previous.

The service was excellent and very engaging. Friendly and helpful. Certainly a collective mindset of constantly going above and beyond. The overall experience was good, however the food wasn't bad, it was good, just, very boring. The crab cakes looked mechanical while the risotto was bland. Overall, nothing to complain about, just nothing "wow" either.
