   This visit was a low point for the restaurant. The food was okay, not exceptional, but just okay. They are know for their cocktails and they missed the mark this time. A Manhattan made with dry vermouth, returned and they just added sweet vermouth to it. No garnish on most cocktails ordered by our table. And a very short pour on one cocktail. Looks like the split it between two. The server apologised saying they have a new bartender. This place can’t afford to hire bartenders that don’t know how to make the basics and can’t get to the garnish. If the menu says it comes with a slice of watermelon and lime, then it should come with that. Particularly at $15+ per drink. Mom offer for compensation for the bad drinks. Food took a very long time to arrive. Our group of four was three doctors and a lawyer. We spend money at places like this. Especially if we are regulars. This place will no longer get this from us. They seem to be doing well with the 20-somethings that spend low amounts for one time visits so I’m going to let them have that and take my business to other local places.

   Wife and I were celebrating the one year anniversary of our engagement. Everything was perfect. The meal was delicious and the service impeccable. Our server had waited on us the night of our wedding, nine months ago and she remember us.

   Such great salads! I took a friend to Vintage 423 for her birthday lunch and we had a terrific server, great salads (I had the beetroot with salmon added for protein. My friend had the quinoa salad). We both enjoyed the Argentinian malbec and my friend received a beautiful piece of cheesecake from the restaurant to commemorate her special day.

   We were seated promptly. Server was friendly & helpful. She was knowledgeable about the menu & when could not answer a question about a specialty cocktail had the bartender come to the table. He was friendly and answered my question. The food was pricey but the quality justified the price. It was a good experience. We will return.

   From the hostess to the waiter, my wife and I had a great experience and dinner at Vintage 423. We will definitely go back there again.

    Steak was overcooked. I wanted medium and my filet was medium well. Partner order lamb chops that were also overcooked. Have eaten there many times and all were excellent except this meal .

    It was a lazy Sunday brunch in the bar and Paul and the rest of the staff were on top of it. Food was good however the kitchen was out of Carne and there wasn’t a lighter salad option but we made do with great bloody Mary’s and a couple of breakfast items and prime rib and a fried chicken sandwich.

    Well...it was our 4th or 5th time there. Service is always slow so we expect it. Incompetence was what happened this time. Order apps, those came and went. Back up guy brought entrees and wife plate scattered with cheese when we specifically asked that no cheese be used. They take it awaY, leaving me with a spoon on my cabonara and neither one of us had a fork. While my carbonara congealed for 10 minutes, the server shows up and we ask for forks and a hot plate of food for me. Another few minutes and wife dish comes up then mine. Check comes with an extra drink charged. That had to be redone too. Peace, out. Never going back.

    This is an expensive restaurant. For two people, a $215 bill, I find it completely unacceptable to be given a table in the middle of the walkway, right by the bathroom and service entrance. We had servers trying to squeeze past us and an endless stream of people going to the bathroom trying to squeeze past us. It was like the restaurant took on too many reservations and put tables where tables were never meant to be. Honestly, I would imagine the fire marshal would not have been ok with it either. We were already thinking of cutting this restaurant out of our rotation due to the high level of noise is this restaurant. It’s difficult to carry on a conversation without yelling at the person seated across from you. After the very unpleasant seating arraignment last night, we are definitely not coming back. I’m sorry but at this price point, I expect better. We will stick with other restaurants like Ruth Chris.

    Service ok at first, them wait staff would disappear. Took over 50 minutes to get food from the time we ordered. One order wrong. When wait staff did appear we had to ask for drink refills each time. Never inquired as to if we needed anything. Burger bland, very little lettuce and onion on the bun, had to ask for mustard, mayo, and anything else missing. It seemed like have little can we getaway with. We will not be back, nor will we recommend your establishment.

    It was disappointing that they were out of a lot of food items especially because it was a 6:00 reservation. The server and manager were outstanding and made up for this issue. We have dinner there many times and Will absolutely go back.

    Service was great! Food and taste was exceptional Except for the curry, needed a little bit more spice and beef is not a good pairing to yellow curry. Should have been shrimp or chicken. Everything else was great!

    As soon as I arrived before the hostess greeted me, I was reminded that I needed to be out of my table by 9 pm because there was a reservation right after mine. The visit felt rush and very unpleasant. There were only specific items to order from the menu, but this was never mentioned during the initial reservation online. Vintage 423 has been my preferred restaurant/bar for multiple years and for a wide range of occasions: birthdays, graduations and promotions just to name a few. After last night I will reconsider my options, not impressed. I don’t mind paying a high cost for great quality of food and a great environment, but last night it was completely the opposite.

    I was forced to book a reservation online, it was confirmed online. Also it asked if there was a special occasion, yes, my wife’s birthday which I marked on the online form for reservation. Why did I get a call the next day insisting that I call to confirm the appt? Hostesses were not friendly or inviting upon arrival. Order was taken for meal and, my wife’s meal was brought to the table and, at that point, I was informed that the scampi meal was unavailable. Why was I not told immediately? Why would the server only bring out one plate? Upon ordering another dish the waiter said “not to worry, he would take care of us”. 30 mins later (for fish. UNACCEPTABLE time) our meal arrived. At the end of the meal the waiter only comped us a glass of wine and a tiny little sliver of cheesecake. They screwed up the entire experience and I felt the bare minimum was done to compensate us for extremely poorly executed customer service. On top of all of this, I was NEVER asked about my wife’s birthday which I indicated on the online form. We have never had a bad meal at Vintage however, the poor service made the entire experience not worth it. If the online reservation platform is not being used properly, you need to go back to a more traditional style. Phone calls and writing it down. Based on the service alone, I would not recommend Vintage to anyone. That’s really sad because the food is great.

    Vintage 423 has always been one of my favorites, however, last night has moved this restaurant to the bottom of my list. They changed the menu and eliminated the quail - this was the best in town and the burger was the WORST I have ever had. Either they switched chef's or they ran out of seasoning.... either way, it was not a good experience and would defenitely not recommend. Sorry.

    The restaurant is much noisier than expected for a fine dining establishment. It was difficult to carry on a conversation at the table without raising our voices. A little acoustic treatment would go a long way to improve the dining experience.

    Nothing above and beyond to signify our anniversary so that was a bit of a bummer. I’ve mentioned an anniversary at other restaurants and they’ve written a card or decorated the table, etc. They was no steps to our table as commented when making the reservation so that was good. The food and drinks were great! The Christmas music was SO loud.

    Possibly the only high-end Restaurant with a bar in Albuquerque. Service is always good and very attentive. Food is exceptional, (it actually may be the only restaurant in the state that grills everything on real charcoal). Recommended for dates, family dinners, even bigger parties as they have a private room that you can book for special occasions. I suggest that you book a table if you want to visit Vintage at weekends because they get busy.
