Welcome to Vinnie’s Steak House and Tavern, the premiere destination for fine dining in the Triangle since 1987. Independently owned and operated, Vinnie’s proudly serves Certified Angus Beef in a variety of cuts and sizes. Vinnie’s also offers the freshest local seafood available, classic Italian fare, Farmer’s Market vegetables and homemade desserts.

Our display wine cellar houses an extensive selection of wines from around the world and serves as a centerpiece to our intimate and elegant dining room.     I always loves Vinnies. Omar, our waiter, did a great job taking care of us. I got the Delmonico oscar style. It was great as always. Crab dip and calamari for appetizers. We always love our time at Vinnies!

    Vinnie’s is my favorite steakhouse and Jules is by far my favorite bartender. Thrilled to see Jules back behind the bar. Her cocktails are always on point. Chef Tom came by to check on us, which is appreciated. We’ll be back!

    I thought the food was good, but I've had better steaks for the prices. If I were to spend that amount of money on dinner again, I would go to a different steakhouse with a more upscale atmosphere and a better pour on my drink. Vinnie's felt more like walking into a pub. If I return, I would probably eat off the Italian specialties menu.

    The food was good. I had the bacon wrapped filet and my wife had the salmon. The filet was well-seasoned. We also had the fried okra and scallop potatoes. The service was above standard as the waitress, manager and the chef came by to check on us. Overall, the food items were a little pricey, but expected for fine dining.

    Due to eating at Vinnie's years ago, as well as being the No. 1 steakhouse in NC, I took my mom for her 92nd birthday. The table service was excellent, the steaks were very delicious, and the dessert was great too. The entire staff looked after us and they were very friendly. I highly recommend Vinnie's for special occasions and just for the night out, too. I give Vinnie's 5 stars out of 5!

    As usual, the food was great and the service was excellent. The filet was cooked perfectly and was very tender. The salmon and the sauce was also very good. The Duck confit mushrooms was the highlight of the meal. A+++

    We flew in to surprise my brother for his 50th. Vinnie’s  steakhouse was awesome from the first day we made our reservation. They didn’t hesitate to help us make it a wonderful evening for him. I regretfully did not get the young lady’s name at the front desk, but she was so sweet. And our waiter, Omar, was top notch. Everybody at this restaurant was very attentive and kind. Highly recommend it. Oh, and the food was amazing.!!!

    Over the top outstanding. I am not sure how high I can go in praise. Complementary deviled eggs and bread to start. Ordered the onion rings and spinach and artichoke dip as appetizers. The onion rings come in a huge tower of six. Very big, very light, very tasty. The spinach and artichoke dip was also very flavorful with lots of pita chips. Many other places, this dip is very liquidity. Not here. Perfect for spreading. Ordered the spinach and bacon. Very fresh with a warm vinagrette. If I have any quibbles, and this is a super minor one, would have liked two strips of bacon instead of one on the salad. Delmonico steaks were ordered -- one medium rare plus and the other medium well. Nailed both of them. Steaks were tender and flavorful. With one mouthful it becomes obvious why Vinnie's scores such high praise and high reviews. Lots of toppings to choose from. Went with mushrooms on one and sauteed onions on the other. Ordered sides of mashed potatoes (super creamy) and mashed sweet potatoes. Top notch. Since we were celebrating my friend's birthday, dessert was on the house for him. Went with the Key Lime pie. Mmmmm good. Service was impecable, attentive but not overbearing. Manager and Chef both came around to make sure meals were 100% satisfactory. Well, our answeres were no brainers! You meal will absolutely not be rushed, meaning everything is fresh and cooked to order. Took about two hours from appetizers to end of main meal, then another 40 minutes for the arrival and completion of dessert. For the high quality of food product and service provided, the ultimate charges are well worth it.

    Vinnie’s is definitely a place to keep in mind for a special occasion. Quality of the food and service is second to none. The menu offers something for everyone and the wine list includes good wines at all ranges of prices. The atmosphere is relatively relaxed but not overwhelming noisy like most of the other restaurants in this class.

    We’re on our tour of Raleigh steaks. Slightly better food than AB but overall lower value IMO. Pricey and not nearly as fun. Cap Grille and Peddlers up next! So far Ruth Chris is best steak by far.

    I have been to Vinnies many times and felt that it was the best steak house in Raleigh. This time I was really embarrassed had taken a friend to show her how fantastic Vinnies was, I felt like I was really stupid. Asked that the filet be cooked to 147 degrees, I cook them at home and the steak always comes out pink and juicy. The steaks were cremated and very tough. Baked potato was very hard, not cooked, rolls were cold. The deviled eggs were ok, water was ok. We would have been better to have gone to Burger King. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Bob ganus

    I’ve been going to Vinnie's for over 30 years. It’s always outstanding and last night was no exception. The atmosphere is lovely, perfect for date night, a business dinner, or just a fun evening with family and friends. The service is what really makes it.     Always a unique and delicious meal. Tracy our server is the best! She is top notch and a reason we keep coming back. Chef Tom is a magician in the kitchen and makes sure the guests feel like family.

    My fiancé and I pride ourselves on how much experience we have with restaurants, specifically steakhouses, in the Triangle area. We both had, arguably, the best meal (besides my family’s homemade italian) of our lives. The food was SO delicious. We had: -Dirty Martini -Espresso Martini -Oysters Rockefeller (raw) -Lobster Mac n’ Chese -French Onion Soup -Cowboy Steak -Pork Chop special -broccoli/pecan side dish -potato side dish -banana bread/vanilla brown sugar ice cream dessert Another bonus is that the manager knows a TON about wine and recommended a delicious Bordeaux blend bottle.

    Not inexpensive but many appetizers and sides are large enough to be shared by two if so inclined. Cocktails were generously poured. Onion soup, wedge salad, asparagus, filet, scallops and crab 🦀 app were all outstanding. Occasion was an anniversary, 52nd. Service, Oh yes … service was OUTSTANDING 👀😍. Check was $200 with 2 cocktails, 2 apps, 2 sides and 2 entrees. Because it was an anniversary outing dessert was gratis.

    We’ve been going to Vinnie’s for 20 years. There are so many things they do right. The ahi tuna is amazing, their calamari is the best in town, great fish entree specials, good salads, and good wines. BUT, the last 3 visits we’ve been quite disappointed in the quality of the filets. For $72 the queen filet should be tender. Unfortunately, they required a some effort to cut and the meat was chewy. There’s too much competition in town to be serving these steaks.

    I have special beds with my food because of allergies. Don’t go to this restaurant unless you can order off their menu. They were very nice but all I wanted was for them to add nothing to the fish and vegetable except heat and they couldn’t do that.

    Service was very slow, but was not really a big issue. Food was good. French onion soup and dinner salad was great. Scallops appetizer was also great. Soft shell crab was decent but dry. Chicken Marsala over past was good. The masculine NYSteakhouse deco and vibe seems a bit dated, but it was customer friendly and relaxing. Biggest disappointment: we made res’n and specifically noted our 51 st anniversary. Not a word was said to us. At table next to us, couple was greeted with a big congratulations on # 24, lots of attention, plus free desert and coffee. We let it slide but did wonder why the inconsistent treatments. Overall, we enjoyed it, the food was good, but for $ 150 we could have had 2 nice meals at any one of 3 or 4 of our neighborhood Favs instead. It was good, just not memorable. We will look elsewhere.

    Nothing is like it used to be however with that said I wasn't blown away with the food quality. My husband had the special and it was very expensive for the amount he received. My son had steak off the menu which was great however his mashed potatoes tasted like they were instant just add water mash. No flavor at all. We ordered the garlic mash as a side and it was the same potatoes with some buttered garlic sprinkled on the top. **dont order the Chicken Parm, the pasta was grainy and super salty. No way the sauce was homemade and if it was they need a Nonnie A-stat.
