Under The Moon Cafe
Love this little gem in our town. BYOB but they have premade non alcoholic sangria - just bring the wine! The food was delicious and unique while the ambience is eclectic making it a fun and enjoyable ambiance.
The food, atmosphere and waiter was amazing!! Love the lemonade!!
I found the food was very over seasoned I had the pork special which was on top of polenta all I tasted was a very over powering taste of seasoning.
The same with the salmon soup!
We went for all you can eat tapas night. $40/person. Everything we ordered was delicious. The server was very attentive and helpful. We brought wine and they provided complimentary Sangria base. An awesome night out!
Under there moon is one of my wife and my favorite spots. Everything was great as usual, however our server Dakota was above and beyond wonderful. The whole experience was 5 star but I would've given it 6 stars if possible solely off her efforts and service to help accommodate my wife on her birthday. Kudo's to you guys on finding a wonderful waitress.
All around great restaurant. My favorite is their homemade desserts but also love their menu. Food is well prepared and different than what you find in the area. Being BYOB in a huge plus for value. Under the Moon is high performing family owned restaurant that consistently makes great food. I would recommend this place to anyone.
Shared the delicious shrimp and grits appetizer and the $35 tapas selection.
Everything was flavorful and an interesting decor. BYOB
Cute place, the menu sounds interesting, but in actuality the execution is terrible and all the food we ordered was barely edible. Service was fine, nothing special... When asked for recommendations we were told what sells the most, which I could care less about. But honestly it's such a shame because the food was just plain disgusting.
I actually dined at Under The Moon twice in one week. First time I had the wedge salad and shrimp and grits. Both very good, but thought that they scrimped on the shrimp. For an appetizer they should at least give you 4 shrimp. Shrimp aren't that expensive. Second time I had shrimp and crab soup. Only one shrimp very little crab and it was extremely salty. My friend also got it and said the same thing. I think it's very cute inside and I guess that's why I like it.
Although we had a reservation, other people without one were seated before us. Service was extremely slow but the restaurant was not at capacity for a Sunday brunch day.
My chicken and waffles was served luke warm, waffles weren't crispy and the egg served on top resembled a hockey puck, the server informed me that was how it is served. They did send out an egg over easy. We ordered several tapas, they were served hot, they were good not great.
There are better values/food nearby.
Very few customers for a Saturday evening dinner, although we did eat early (5:30). For only a few tables, service was slow. Took awhile to open our wine, Never brought bread until we asked at the time they brought our salads. My husband had the filet and requested medium cooked - came well done. Other than that, food was very good.
The food is very good. One of my favorite restaurants! The value of the food based on serving sizes is not so good.
Great atmosphere, great food and good service. Was able to make a reservation online, got there early and they were able to seat us right away. Large portions so you get what you pay for. And their deserts are delicious too!
Place was phenomenal! Too noisy for an intimate date night. But perfect for everything else! Must try the desserts!
Overall experience was outstanding.
Just one minor criticism. How can the response for fresh pepper for a salad be an apology for being out of this staple.
Love the eclectic decor. Food is fresh and delicious! Desserys to die for! BYOB is a plus
Food was excellent but service was slow (to almost painful).
We were a bit disappointed. Have always had good meals there in the past. We’ll try it again after the summer.
Interesting eclectic decor
Wonderfully flavorful food
Magnificently delicious homemade desserts
Excellent as always never disappointed!
We love Under the Moon Cafe. Great for Girls night out, date night and family events.
The staff is very friendly. The decor is great. The food is amazing. We can't wait to check out the Lambertville location.
Great food, great place. Eat here
Food outstanding and pricy for byob but preparation, presentation and creativity equals value. Had been a regular but kind of dropped out because they had these artsy tables with sewing machine foot petals. Looked cool but took up foot space . If your 6ft it was painful. Happy to say those tables are all gone. So we are back! Apps very different . We had rice balls with artichoke and veggie empanada. I had huge pork chop filled with fig and stinky cheese. Excellent. Wife had crab cakes as she always does so boring need to experience other items but taste great. These are two dinner meals. Always get go bag. BYOB so we always do Prosecco and order Seasonal Sangria. Pour Prosecco in Sangria and I’m genius!
‘. Service was great!
• Food was excellent!
• The lighting was very poor. Too dark to read the Menu or see the food I was eating.
• I cut my leg and ripped my Cargo Shorts on a bolt that was protruding through the underside of the table by at least 1.5”. I thought it was just one bolt. There were 4 pf them. 2 on my wife’s side as well.
First time experience wasn’t the best.
We had a very nice dinner tonight. Our waitress, Tina, was absolutely fabulous as she gave recommendations on some menu items and she was spot on. Was a little warm in the restaurant tonight. Short ribs were very good and the desserts were great. Will repeat.
In fact I brought my friend there because I wanted to share my favorite place!!!
I LOVED this cozy cafe. Super cute!!
I would like to see less spinach and more goat cheese and walnuts on the salad.
I even had a wine glass the exact same as my Mother had. It was Mother’s Day and she is long since gone to a better place. How perfect was that!!
The tapas menu is amazing. The staff is friendly and accommodating.
When we arrived @ 8:40 , we were told that the kitchen closed at 8:50. We made a quick couple of decisions and enjoyed a terrific meal. Service was pleasant and restaurant was empty within a few minutes of our arrival, but we never felt rushed. Would return as the food was spot on
The service was great! Loved the atmosphere of the restaurant and enjoyed the food! And it was very reasonably priced.
Love the place, but made a mistake ordering from the "Special" list. Ordered two entrees from the specials, and shared one appetizer, one salad and one desert, and the bill with tip came to $125. This isn't "rats"! I will never again order from your specials, why not admit the prices? What a jolt when the bill came, which changed the evening. Also, I was asked if it was a special day. It was and I disclosed as much, to only be ignored duringthe event. Why bother asking to begin with? Phil R
We had a surprise birthday dinner for my girlfriend and the staff was so helpful! They seated the rest of our party early and helped facilitate the “surprise!” part of the dinner by going along with the pretend reason we had made up to get her there.
What an interesting place! Bits of nostalgia everywhere. The food was superb. Will be back for sure.
Love the vibe of this place and the fantastic food. Tapas is a fun way to share appetizers
The restaurant was nearly empty, and the soft music and little volume made it feel a little awkward for us to have conversation. The service was good but a little pushy. Appetizers were very good. My boyfriend’s entree was delicious, as was most of mine aside from the undercooked pasta. Highly recommend the house-made lemonade. We would visit again, just maybe on a more energetic night.
Great experience. Wonderful food, the dessert in particular was amazing. Looking forward to going back.
Great food, love the specials!
Everything was lovely, the only improvement would have been if the wait staff checked on us/refilled our water without us having to call them over.
Nice selection of food
