Under The Moon Cafe
Food was excellent but service was slow (to almost painful).
We were a bit disappointed. Have always had good meals there in the past. We’ll try it again after the summer.
Interesting eclectic decor
Wonderfully flavorful food
Magnificently delicious homemade desserts
Excellent as always never disappointed!
We love Under the Moon Cafe. Great for Girls night out, date night and family events.
The staff is very friendly. The decor is great. The food is amazing. We can't wait to check out the Lambertville location.
Great food, great place. Eat here
Food outstanding and pricy for byob but preparation, presentation and creativity equals value. Had been a regular but kind of dropped out because they had these artsy tables with sewing machine foot petals. Looked cool but took up foot space . If your 6ft it was painful. Happy to say those tables are all gone. So we are back! Apps very different . We had rice balls with artichoke and veggie empanada. I had huge pork chop filled with fig and stinky cheese. Excellent. Wife had crab cakes as she always does so boring need to experience other items but taste great. These are two dinner meals. Always get go bag. BYOB so we always do Prosecco and order Seasonal Sangria. Pour Prosecco in Sangria and I’m genius!
‘. Service was great!
• Food was excellent!
• The lighting was very poor. Too dark to read the Menu or see the food I was eating.
• I cut my leg and ripped my Cargo Shorts on a bolt that was protruding through the underside of the table by at least 1.5”. I thought it was just one bolt. There were 4 pf them. 2 on my wife’s side as well.
First time experience wasn’t the best.
We had a very nice dinner tonight. Our waitress, Tina, was absolutely fabulous as she gave recommendations on some menu items and she was spot on. Was a little warm in the restaurant tonight. Short ribs were very good and the desserts were great. Will repeat.
In fact I brought my friend there because I wanted to share my favorite place!!!
I LOVED this cozy cafe. Super cute!!
I would like to see less spinach and more goat cheese and walnuts on the salad.
I even had a wine glass the exact same as my Mother had. It was Mother’s Day and she is long since gone to a better place. How perfect was that!!
The tapas menu is amazing. The staff is friendly and accommodating.
When we arrived @ 8:40 , we were told that the kitchen closed at 8:50. We made a quick couple of decisions and enjoyed a terrific meal. Service was pleasant and restaurant was empty within a few minutes of our arrival, but we never felt rushed. Would return as the food was spot on
The service was great! Loved the atmosphere of the restaurant and enjoyed the food! And it was very reasonably priced.
Love the place, but made a mistake ordering from the "Special" list. Ordered two entrees from the specials, and shared one appetizer, one salad and one desert, and the bill with tip came to $125. This isn't "rats"! I will never again order from your specials, why not admit the prices? What a jolt when the bill came, which changed the evening. Also, I was asked if it was a special day. It was and I disclosed as much, to only be ignored duringthe event. Why bother asking to begin with? Phil R
We had a surprise birthday dinner for my girlfriend and the staff was so helpful! They seated the rest of our party early and helped facilitate the “surprise!” part of the dinner by going along with the pretend reason we had made up to get her there.
What an interesting place! Bits of nostalgia everywhere. The food was superb. Will be back for sure.
Love the vibe of this place and the fantastic food. Tapas is a fun way to share appetizers
The restaurant was nearly empty, and the soft music and little volume made it feel a little awkward for us to have conversation. The service was good but a little pushy. Appetizers were very good. My boyfriend’s entree was delicious, as was most of mine aside from the undercooked pasta. Highly recommend the house-made lemonade. We would visit again, just maybe on a more energetic night.
Great experience. Wonderful food, the dessert in particular was amazing. Looking forward to going back.
Great food, love the specials!
Everything was lovely, the only improvement would have been if the wait staff checked on us/refilled our water without us having to call them over.
Nice selection of food
A unique restaurant with a trendy menu. I had the Tuna Tartar, then a Salad with Arugula, Goat Cheese, Filet and Fig salad with Balsamic Vinegrette. Finally, the Ossobucco which, the meat fell off the bone in an amazing tomato wine reduction and marinara over mashed potatoes. True comfort food. Water only, no drinks. BYOB. You can get Sofa and Iced Tea and Coffee and Desserts there. Nothing is alike in the restaurant, it’s very unique. Clean. Hip.
I would most certainly return.
The Irish Chowder and the Shamrock Burger were inventive and delicious.
The food was different but nothing outstanding
Came for a brunch/lunch with coworkers. Service was fantastic, waitress and bussing staff were incredibly attentive. Ambiance very cool with lots of eclectic antique items. Food was delicious and exactly as expected. Will be returning!
Pleasantly surprised to kick off restaurant week! The choices on the prix fixe menu were nicely varied and everything was delicious. Fun night, date night, casual meeting... everything works here. The staff is so friendly and the desserts are amazing, so save some room.
The food choices and combinations are very Eccentric which made it the best reason to go the desserts are out of this world. Don’t miss out
Quaint, eclectic and delicious. The server was great and the meal was fabulous. I will be back.
Food was tremendous. Love that it is byob
Delicious Tapas tastings, great variety of flavors, especially the stuffed dates. nice sharing meal.
Decor is very antique and quaint. For what the menu is this is a bit overpriced. Also the menu is very sporadic and the food was so-so. Service was very amateur.
We've been here a handful of times and are likely to return. It's nestled in a nice, quaint hamlet of shops and restaurants that make it a nice meeting place between Philly and friends in Princeton and Trenton (~30 minutes from Trenton). We love the eclectic throw-back decor and interesting menu. Among the five of us, we rate our entrees from "good" to "awesome." It's street parking in this normally quiet town, so give yourself a few extra minutes to park and walk among the local shops.
Wish that they had noticed my open table notes about being there for a birthday and helped to recognize her when we ordered dessert. Also felt rushed after coffee even tho restaurant had only about 5 working tables total. Table was partially cleared and bill dropped before we were asked if we wanted more coffee. Small things compared to Overall experience
It took almost 15 minutes for a server to come to our table after we were seated. She took our order and we never saw her again until we were done with our meals. We had to have a different server gets us a soda, because our server never came and checked on us. Our appetizer and main course were delivered by a different server. Nobody checked on us, nobody asked how our food was...it was like we were invisible. It was so loud I couldn’t hear a word my husband was saying to me. It was the worst anniversary dinner experience I’ve ever had. My food came out lukewarm at best, I tried to eat it, but gave up after a few bites. When our server finally came to our table after we had been done eating for 15 minutes, she asked how everything was. I told her my food was pretty much cold when it was delivered, and she had a look of confusion. She took my meal off the bill, which was the least that could have been done. Our night out was horrible, very disappointed since we don’t get out often without the kids. I won’t ever be going back.
This is a regular for myself and various friends. Food is delicious, and the menu includes GF, as well as a variety of unusual dishes and Tapas. Everything is homemade. From apps to desserts a totally satisfying experience!
What a great place! Food is always delicious and consistent, ambience a warm and fun, and service attentive and on point. We don’t hesitate to recommend Under the Moon as as “go to” place in Bordentown and no one had ever been disappointed.
We were in the area and found this gem. Cute funky ambiance, food was very good and staff was nice.
It was very nice. Loved the different decor and setup. Food was very good. Will be back.
