   I had the spinach salad with quinoa and rice, and it was very tasty. I wish that a few more items on the menu had been marked gluten-free but it is possible they could have been made gluten-free had I asked.

   Ordered the breakfast sandwich and blueberry pancakes - nice portion size and very tasty! Had a table for two in the back and appreciated the natural lighting and the good music/vibes.

   We each had a very good salad and I had the chicken sandwich and my husband had the burger. All very good food and very good service. It is expensive, but I think all restaurants are now. It is very hard to find legal parking. We picked this place because we were going to a show at the Mercury Theater and wanted to eat first somewhere nearby. It was a nice place and I would recommend it to others doing something in this area.

   The quality of food and options available are always magnificent. It is hard to drown out the noise in all the rooms especially when there are special events happening. I miss the original location, but I’m at least happy that Chicago still has this location, fantastic dining experience,and piece of culture.

   We unfortunately had a horrible experience for Sunday brunch here. We were there for almost 2 hours. It took an hour to get our food which then showed up cold. Our server was not the nicest and ignored us for a lot of the time while everyone else got their food around us. I would never come here again.

    The sweet potato fries and goat cheese fondue appetizer was excellent! Service was great.... We came in on Sunday near closing time for restaurant and it was not busy and we were not rushed at all. Very nice meal...😀

    The food was good, and the server was very kind. The noise level is too high, especially because the place was not full. There is nothing to absorb the noise and the food is not cheap. I ordered fish tacos, which were delicious, but the tortilla was a single corn tortilla that got too wet with the food and fell apart.

    Unfortunately, I had a bad food experience. I never complain. My poached eggs were cold. The sausage was cold, dry and tasteless. The waitress was incredibly kind and remade breakfast, but I was done. My friends salad was mediocre and tasteless.

    Ancho Pork Chop flavor was good but very dry and overcooked. The smash burger was completely overcooked, dry with not an ounce of juiciness. Previous experiences here have been better. Will chalk this up to a “glitch.”

    I was so excited to try the original location after having had incredible experiences at the Rogers park location. We were extremely disappointed. The food was average at best - artichoke dip, chicken sandwich, veggie chili and the vegan salad with tofu. First of all, have braces and asked for them to chop my salad (they did not). Next, the dip came with 5 small pieces of bread - clearly not enough for all of the dip. We asked our waiter for more bread and he happily brought us more without mentioning there would be an additional charge. I ordered an iced tea and asked for more when I was getting low. The waiter brought me the same glass filled with mostly ice vs tea. I figured I'd get another one soon anyway so I didn't mention it. When the check came, we saw that we were charged for two glasses of tea @ $4 per glass plus an additional $3 for more bread. My friend's coffee was $5 - he didn't get refills. I had wanted to go to Summerhouse, but my friend preferred somewhere more cost effective. This was NOT. Our total was $94.15 before the tip. Last time, we were at Summerhouse, we each had a glass of wine, free refills on tea (customary) and our lunch was an equivalent price. Uncommon Ground has average food, nickel and dime you and their prices are inflated esp for lunch. Alas - we will not return!

    The food is overpriced. I had the pumpkin ravioli which was nice but definitely not worth $22. My companion had the carnitas tacos for $18. I thought it came with the fries but those were an extra $5. Too expensive for what you get.

    Nice and cozy gem in the heart of Lakeview! Food was overall very good , Mac and cheese was okay, it sounded way better on the menu then tasting. Not bad but not spectacular. Burger was delicious and the bread that comes with the tomato soup. Drinks were pretty good , tried their hibiscus mule ( floral in flavor). Good service and food arrived pretty quickly, it was a bit slower for Wednesday and they were doing Christmas trivia in the front of the restaurant ( we didn’t participate in that). Would definitely visit again if in the area , want to try the meatloaf next.

    The service was lovely, the food was great, the ambience was sublime. Uncommon Ground is just a little bit expensive. Be prepared to drop $100+ for two people. Overall, I loved it. Will definitely be back.

    Uncommon Ground is usually consistently good with drinks/food. I was rather surprised that the Veggie Stir Fry was so salty - the sticky rice was overcooked and the vegetables were drowning in sauce. I will not get this dish again.

    The chilaquiles were awful! Too many chips; barely any egg and super dry. Biscuits and gravy was also dry. Food was terribly disappointing. The long wait for food was certainly not worth it. Would not recommend this place. Extremely disappointed.

    It's a cute, cozy neighborhood spot. The staff was warm and friendly. Had a good brunch and lunch menu. Interesting food, but it could be better executed. Overall, my friends and I had a good experience. 👍
