Was seated in back booth near restroom. Flies buzzing around. Waiter kept forgetting things we asked for. Not going back anytime soon!
We usually love Uncle Julio's but our experience on Saturday was bad. It took them 15 minutes to greet us at our table and get our drink order. Service was very slow that night. My husband asked for extra tortillas and a drink and they forgot to bring it until after the bill. My husband loves the food but after Saturday's experience I don't want to go back.
Early celebration for Fathers Day.
We got there and was seated the manager then came over and had us get up so he could split the table we were seated at and already started dining on. Then we were told the kitchen was running behind about 10 minutes however people seated after us we're already served their meals. We used to love Uncle Julio's not sure what happened but this was not a good dining experience
Place was dirty.
Food all over floor
Bathroom with only one working sink paper towels all over
Waiter wasn’t very attentive but it was busy. Been here often. Today was worse experience
Drinks are small & pricey. Limited menu. So noisy & very busy, I couldn't get out fast enough. It's probably designed for quick turnarounds. Manager(s) walked by a dozen times. Never checked in, nor could I get their attention. Neither of their two wifis were available for public use. Bathroom water-saver faucets make it difficult for hand washing. Parking, though free, is a small hike. In total, disappointing for my first visit. Not inclined to return.
Food took a very long time and came out cold. Then another very long wait. Not what we expected or have experienced previously.
Service went down and I mean really down from the hostess to the server. Had a reservation and asked to sit down but told to wait an additional 15 minutes. The place was near empty with at least 6 open but not cleaned tables. There were a ton of servers but my server rarely came to the table, forgot drinks, forgot menus, and forgot us when bringing the food cold.
Hey Uncle Julio Management - wake up and hire competent employees as they are ruining your business.
They always have food and service. The chocolate piñata dessert is a great special treat. I wish they had better gluten free options and a gf menu.
Excellent food, really good service by our server but way too noisy. Please try to place big families and kids a little separate from 2 people trying to converse over a meal.
We were very disappointed in our service. The server seemed less than enthusiastic. She spilled food on my son without apologizing.
Always a great experience at Uncle Julio’s. The food, the service and the ambience are always on point. We always enjoy the table side guacamole and margaritas.
My daughter insisted on going here for her 16th birthday. She ordered the (non-alcoholic version) of the -321 Margarita. The trip to the restaurant was worth that experience. The kids had a great time watching the preparation and the gentlemen who prepared the drinks was really nice and explained the whole process. We will definitely do that again.
We went on an unexpectedly busy night, and the staff was obviously swamped but did everything they possibly could to care for us. They did run out of salsa when we got there (we had a late reservation 1.5 hours before close) but they allowed us to substitute guacamole for free!
If you enjoy getting sick and treated horribly it’s the right place to go. Ended up with bruises from a fall since the floor was wet and food posioning. Never again.
Unfortunately, our experience was pretty bad. We booked a family birthday dinner for a party of 6 on a Sunday night. The food took over an hour to arrive. They forgot my second glass of wine. And the noise level was so high that we had to shout in order to hear each other. I will avoid this restaurant in the future.
We had a good Mother’s Day dinner there on Sunday. The place was very crowded but didn’t wait long since I had reservations. The service was not as fast as usual due to the crowds I assume. Drinks were slow to arrive and get refilled. We had to wait for chips awhile after our guacamole was made table side. Highlight was the hand crafted margarita of berries made table side with liquid nitrogen. The drink was fantastic as was the lovely bartender and the show! The tacos were tasty as usual but the quesadillas were pretty boring and tasteless. They need more spice or a dipping sauce. The steak fajitas were chewier than last time I had them there but they were ok. All in all good meal but for the price should be better. It’s not a good comparison to say that chili’s has better quesadillas!
Thanks to manager Alex for comping our meal and offering such heartfelt apologies. If it hadn’t been for that, we’d probably not go back. Rude hostesses who basically ignored our reservation and seated walk-ins as we stood there 20 minutes past our reservation. Tables and floor around us dirty. Two of us ordered fajitas. When the tortillas finally showed up they were too thick and undercooked. Several attempts at more were just as bad. Left without getting the fun dessert that you break open much to the dismay of our granddaughter. We always loved Uncle Julio’s but they were definitely off their game today....Mother’s Day.
We went on a Saturday night, thankfully we made a reservation and only had to wait 10 minutes for a table. It was prom night and the night before Mother's Day, so the place was VERY busy. Our server never missed a beat and was quick, friendly, and efficient. We all ordered fajitas and they were the BEST I have ever had.
Brought my mother for an early mother's day dinner. Be careful not to indulge too much in the delicious chips and salsa - I was full on queso before my main dish arrived. The margarita and sangria swirl is genius, and my mom loved the extra shot of tequila presented in a lime peel cup. Cute! We both loved our meal and the restaurant's ambiance. Would definitely recommend for a casual dinner out.
Drinks were watery. Not enough alcohol.
Food was not up to expectations. The quality was low. We have been before and it was good but this time .. food was poor.
Food at Uncle Julio's is always great - which is why it is always so busy - especially on a Saturday evening. It has been a while since I have been there at that time - but service was pretty bad this time. We didn't get our food all at once - first rice and beans, followed by meat and vegetables, followed eventually by tortillas. Rice and beans came out maybe 40 minutes after ordering, tortillas after almost an hour. The place was busy as always - but you would've thought at least we wouldn't have to wait for 10 minutes after the bulk I'd the food arrived for the tortillas. It just didn't seem like they had a sense of urgency to get us our food.
Amazing time! Even while busy I was impressed by the speed of service and the quality of food
Wonderful meal. Table side guacamole, 3-2-1 margarita, and finished with chocolate piñata! Great food and kid friendly. Excellent service.
Eric provided great service. Food was excellent. Did not have to wait long for our food and it was busy..
Thought that the skinny margarita was fantastic as well as the chips and chocolate piniata (My children loved it). The food was otherwise average and the service below average (Both children's meals were wrong, and my kids would not eat them at they contained tomatoes which we asked to not add as well as the wrong sides). I had to ask for tortillas for my fajitas which came about 10 minutes after my food. Service was poor, and is the main reason I would not come back.
It took forever for our waiter to check on us. Food was mediocre at best.
Love Uncle Julio’s. Food and service are great. The restaurant is always clean. Love the furniture and lighting. Overall great experience always.
Let me start by saying, I love Uncle Julios and will be back. However this visit wasn’t their best effort. While the salsa was yummy, the chips were dripping with oil. The fajitas arrived quickly but the sizzle was missing. The chicken was dry, veggies were a tad rubbery and the steak was over cooked (we’d requested medium but were delivered well done). Clearly this batch had been precooked, assembled and put under in a warming oven.
Sad because the batch we’d had two weeks earlier were spectacular and had left us craving another visit soon.
Poor parking situation. Waitress was good but a little slow
Enjoyed bring friends to lunch, and they enjoyed their food. Alway a fun place to visit and relax. Fajitas were fantastic.
Table side Guac is never disappointing.
Beat way to get right in on a weekend night! Delicious and efficient. Amazing server!
Live this place. The chips are great, salsa great, swirls are great, fiestas are great. The price for this stuff is just a little too high. But the food is always good !
We waited over 30 minutes for our food- long enough that the waiter offered us a third set of chips and salsa. The food finally arrived and was not as ordered. The manager offered us a free guacamole but by the time it arrived we had nothing left to put it on. The portion sizes have gone down. We were never asked if we needed more tortillas for our fajitas. The manager never checked back with us, even though he walked by a few times. He went on to things like wiping down menus. Our food was comped but we left so sad and disappointed. I felt badly for the waiter. This did not appear to be his fault. This location just can’t seem to get it together and why we keep trying I just don’t know.
Spring weather, margarita and chips! Perfect! Server was attentive and did not rush us. As usual after eating the salsa and chips most of dinner came home with us. A great leftover!
Indicated anniversary on opentable reservation - seated in the back of restaurant near bathroom. Many large groups and kids. Very loud. No silverware and none again when dessert served. Busy night.- back of restaurant understaffed. Anniversary never acknowledged.
Open table got us a seat fast! Enjoyed the food and service!
