Uncle Julio's - Loudoun
Uncle Julio’s menu also includes Tex-Mex classics such as tacos, enchiladas & tamales all with a selection of sauces made daily. Insider tip: order the tableside guacamole. It’s prepared for you at your table; if you like it spicy kick it up a notch with fresh chopped jalapenos.
Uncle Julio’s has a vast drink selection. Try our fresh margarita of the day, made to order with fresh fruit. If you prefer a frozen drink then the Swirl is definitely the perfect choice. The Swirl is frozen sangria & frozen margarita layered together dating back to 1987.
For reservations, please allow up to 15 minutes for us to prepare your table.

Reservation was not possible for outdoor dining 😟. So we had to wait for 15 min however made reservations.
Outstanding good Mexican food
Service was not good this time around unfortunately 😐. Even after stating gthus was my husbands birthday celebration 😳
Food and service is always wonderful! We come here for all special occasions.
Great food and service. Loved that they seated us right away, when we showed up for our reservation, even though they had walk-ups waiting. Food is consistently good here. Service is getting better with every visit.
Great food and great service! Servers are very attentive even when things get busy!
Very nice outdoor seating
Been eating at Uncle Julio's since the early 1990's and it never disappoints. My cousin was in from Florida and has never eaten here so I thought it would be a treat. Also, my 8-year-old daughter has been begging for us to get the chocolate pinata, but we've never had enough people. This time we did, and it was amazing. Got the tableside guacamole which was amazing. The food for everyone at the table was great. Because it was a Friday night, reservations are a MUST.
Excellent food and service! We dined outside at a lovely round table!
Visiting from California I wasn't sure of the authenticity of Tio Julio's Mexican cooking. What a suprise ! Great food great service I would return next time I am in town.
Had a great time there. Our waiter even tracked us down outside to bring my wife her cell phone that she left on the table. Great place to spend an evening with friends or family.
Friendly and professional staff. Food was authentic Mexican food.
Food great, customer service a bit lacking.
We were truly impressed with the made from scratch food Delicious and FESH and came in a good time
While the food was good, our server was very not attentive. She never came to check on us after our meal was delivered. In fact, we finished our entire meal before we ever saw her again. I wanted another drink and got it after my meal was entirely done. She disappeared for long periods of time and was only serving 2 tables. Ours a party of 4 and another that was a party of 6. The restaurant was not at capacity and there were plenty of others servers whose attention we could not get to even find our server to come and assist us. Not pleased and we wont be returning.
Excellent food and excellent service.
Overall excellent experience. Food and service were outstanding!
The food and service were very good but the air conditioning wasn't functioning properly. This was one of the hottest days of the year, and I was fanning myself with a birthday card. I selected birthday as the special occasion when I made the reservation but I'm not sure what the point of that was. There was nothing done at the restaurant at all to mark the occasion.
Met my family for a lunch date. Our first time at Uncle Julio's and was impressed with their FRESH food along with having the Kitchen in full view of the dining area. Also notice a very nice Bar area with out door dining as well. Highly recommend to any size or any group to Enjoy a Wonderful fresh meal.
Table was ready on time. Our waitress was very friendly and checked in on us throughout our meal. Food was great. Fantastic place to dine.
Long wait despite reservation via OpenTable. The place was not very busy for a Saturday evening, but the room was uncomfortably hot. Tepid water w/ little or no ice throughout the meal (were they having trouble with their refrigeration on a hot day?). Food was meh.... standard tex-mex comparable to pretty much any low end Tex-Mex restaurant, but more expensive than competitors.
Great time! Service was great!
The music was so extremely loud you couldn’t hear yourself think so everyone had to talk to each other very loudly which made it even louder
Was seated in back booth near restroom. Flies buzzing around. Waiter kept forgetting things we asked for. Not going back anytime soon!
We usually love Uncle Julio's but our experience on Saturday was bad. It took them 15 minutes to greet us at our table and get our drink order. Service was very slow that night. My husband asked for extra tortillas and a drink and they forgot to bring it until after the bill. My husband loves the food but after Saturday's experience I don't want to go back.
Early celebration for Fathers Day.
We got there and was seated the manager then came over and had us get up so he could split the table we were seated at and already started dining on. Then we were told the kitchen was running behind about 10 minutes however people seated after us we're already served their meals. We used to love Uncle Julio's not sure what happened but this was not a good dining experience
Place was dirty.
Food all over floor
Bathroom with only one working sink paper towels all over
Waiter wasn’t very attentive but it was busy. Been here often. Today was worse experience
Drinks are small & pricey. Limited menu. So noisy & very busy, I couldn't get out fast enough. It's probably designed for quick turnarounds. Manager(s) walked by a dozen times. Never checked in, nor could I get their attention. Neither of their two wifis were available for public use. Bathroom water-saver faucets make it difficult for hand washing. Parking, though free, is a small hike. In total, disappointing for my first visit. Not inclined to return.
Food took a very long time and came out cold. Then another very long wait. Not what we expected or have experienced previously.
Service went down and I mean really down from the hostess to the server. Had a reservation and asked to sit down but told to wait an additional 15 minutes. The place was near empty with at least 6 open but not cleaned tables. There were a ton of servers but my server rarely came to the table, forgot drinks, forgot menus, and forgot us when bringing the food cold.
Hey Uncle Julio Management - wake up and hire competent employees as they are ruining your business.
They always have food and service. The chocolate piñata dessert is a great special treat. I wish they had better gluten free options and a gf menu.
Excellent food, really good service by our server but way too noisy. Please try to place big families and kids a little separate from 2 people trying to converse over a meal.
We were very disappointed in our service. The server seemed less than enthusiastic. She spilled food on my son without apologizing.
Always a great experience at Uncle Julio’s. The food, the service and the ambience are always on point. We always enjoy the table side guacamole and margaritas.
My daughter insisted on going here for her 16th birthday. She ordered the (non-alcoholic version) of the -321 Margarita. The trip to the restaurant was worth that experience. The kids had a great time watching the preparation and the gentlemen who prepared the drinks was really nice and explained the whole process. We will definitely do that again.
We went on an unexpectedly busy night, and the staff was obviously swamped but did everything they possibly could to care for us. They did run out of salsa when we got there (we had a late reservation 1.5 hours before close) but they allowed us to substitute guacamole for free!
If you enjoy getting sick and treated horribly it’s the right place to go. Ended up with bruises from a fall since the floor was wet and food posioning. Never again.
Unfortunately, our experience was pretty bad. We booked a family birthday dinner for a party of 6 on a Sunday night. The food took over an hour to arrive. They forgot my second glass of wine. And the noise level was so high that we had to shout in order to hear each other. I will avoid this restaurant in the future.
We had a good Mother’s Day dinner there on Sunday. The place was very crowded but didn’t wait long since I had reservations. The service was not as fast as usual due to the crowds I assume. Drinks were slow to arrive and get refilled. We had to wait for chips awhile after our guacamole was made table side. Highlight was the hand crafted margarita of berries made table side with liquid nitrogen. The drink was fantastic as was the lovely bartender and the show! The tacos were tasty as usual but the quesadillas were pretty boring and tasteless. They need more spice or a dipping sauce. The steak fajitas were chewier than last time I had them there but they were ok. All in all good meal but for the price should be better. It’s not a good comparison to say that chili’s has better quesadillas!
