The Winery Restaurant has been an icon among western Colorado restaurants for over 35 years. The restaurant makes its home in a 95 year old building that used to house a horse drawn fire station. A gas lamp lit, grapevine canopied alley frames this romantic location perfectly. The beautifully remodeled building contains flowered stain glass windows, barn wood and bricks.

Steve Thoms acquired the restaurant in late June of 2004 after taking a couple of years off from his previous restaurant. His mission at he Winery is simple: Show the restaurant and its patrons the attention that they deserve. Use only top quality ingredients, and establish The Winery as the premiere restaurant in the Grand Junction area.

The Winery provides a variety of steaks, chicken, pork and fresh seafood specials nightly in an atmosphere that can not be rivaled anywhere!

The Winery is one of our favorite places to go for special occasions. We celebrated our 40th Wedding Anniversary and had a great meal in a romantic setting. The service was superb and the food is always great! We definitely recommend "The Winery"!

I wish I could give more than five stars! This place is the BOMB. Our server Jesse was fantastic, he’s so kind, funny and congenial, and his recommendations were spot on. Try the seafood bisque (drool), all the steaks, and the crème brûlée cheesecake- unreal! Excellent wine list, lovely ambiance, and reasonably priced for such outstanding service and food. We can’t wait to come back! Wait for me rhubarb compôte….☁️🌈☁️

The Winery’s combination of food, service and ambiance makes it our go-to special occasion dining venue. It is pricey and apart from wine choices it doesn’t have enough moderately priced menu items to qualify for more frequent visits. We’ve never had anything less than a delicious meal. As good as the food is, the service usually tips the scale in making a meal truly memorable. The wait staff always make us feel not just welcome but special. Most people probably think of The Winery as a steakhouse and that might be what they do best, but we’ve had scallops, sea bass, shrimp and salmon dinners that were perfect. The calamari appetizer is the most expensive of any place we’ve been — but also the best. So, we love The Winery and cannot post a review without acknowledging that every special occasion meal (birthdays, anniversaries) includes a free gourmet dessert of your choice.

The reservation experience, food quality, and service are very nice. So, kudos on creating a solid eating experience. However, it is very pricey (wines are overpriced for sure) and all things considered the value doesn't match the experience and ambiance. It's the only semi-fine restaurant in a town that is pretty rough around the edges so they have a bit of a monopoly at present. Aspenesque prices for a Grand Junction restaurant doesn't make me 100% satisfied. As an aside, we also visited Smoke in downtown Glenwood Springs and spent 1/5th the cost and while not a fine dining experience received at least 4/5ths the quality of food The Winery offered.

Enjoyed Valentines Day dinner at The Winery. Arrived a few minutes before our reservation and were seated promptly. Our server was attentive and helpful. The menu has many options and there were a couple of specials as well. We ordered the filet as well as the mixed grill….both were cooked to perfection and well plated. Be sure to get the three cheese au gratin potatoes - they were amazing. We started with salads and finished with the apple crisp and coffee. From beginning to end our dinner was wonderful. Highly recommend for a nice meal out in Grand Junction.

We had a wonderful dinner at The Winery. I ordered a ribeye. It was absolutely delicious. Ribeye was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The graten potatoes were even better than the ribeye. Service was outstanding!! Overall experience was exceptional!

It's been a few years since we dined here, but the outstanding dinners haven't changed. An extraordinary dining experience. Service, food selesctons, ambience, and prices all were enjoyed. The Winery rivals anything we've enjoyed in Denver or Colo Spgs. We'll definitely stop again on our next visit to Get Jct.

Food quality and service are unmatched in this area. I splurged on the sea bass special, a large serving that was seasoned to perfection. That said, it was just slightly undercooked. Calamari appetizer was delicious. My wife raved about her filet ($57). Veggies, wine and dessert were outstanding. It being her birthday day, the crème brûlée cheesecake was The Winery’s gift to her. We love The Winery, but it’s pricier than anywhere else we eat so we save it for special occasions. This visit we experienced the best, most courteous and attentive service ever. Ask for Jesse!

Had a great night out for anniversary. Our waiter Steven was fantastic, he had some really nice recommendations in the right direction for us. Ribeye was great, Bacon wrapped Scallop was wonderful, Scallop Scampi was delicious. The whole staff was on top of things.

Took my Mom there for the first time, we did the entire meal from appetizers (shrimp cocktail and scallops) to mains (filet Oscar and Scottish salmon), wine, desserts (bread pudding and a Palisade) with coffees (one Irish, one white chocolate mocha). Food and drinks were exceptionally good. Expensive but worth it. Service was great, attentive but not pushy. Will be back, but not soon enough!

The Winery was the scene of our 44th wedding anniversary this week. We reserve it for special occasions only as it is a reach for us to afford it. The Winery is well worth the cost. The quality of the food and the care with which it is prepared is unsurpassed in Grand Junction. The bar tender is absolutely outstanding and the drinks are strong and not watered down. The wine list goes on and on, either by the glass or bottle. We can highly recommend the steaks although my husband had an exquisite chicken dish. The service was impeccable, personalized and we recieved a free dessert in honor of our anniversary. Such a relaxing, peaceful and sumptuous place to be on a cold winters night. Treat yourself, visit the Winery soon.
