Everyone is afraid of covid yet our waitress actually dropped a few of out vegetables on the table and took it up herself to grab them with her bare hands and put therm back on the plate 🤣🤣🤣
We went for a birthday celebration and had an amazing time! We were given a private room and everything was perfect. Great food and excellent service!
Fun for our little family. They had gluten free options, was such a great!
Great food and nice place to eat
Really was not worth the price
The food was great, the experience was definitely fun and tasty. Our server was friendly and quick and it was a nice quiet place to take your time over a meal to talk and enjoy. The place was very nice but the seating is in these little cubbies that were snug and cozy but maybe a tad small. I understand that you don’t want a huge space, so you don’t have to stretch to get to the fondu pot or your food, but still a little small.
The melting pot is a great experience. My only caveat is the people prepping the dippers weren’t wearing gloves or masks the entire time. My companion is a chef and he was able to look directly into the room from his seat and let us know of the substandard hygienic practices. Ultimately, this didn’t diminish from our dining experience. It’s a great evening of delicious food.
Delightful Birthday dinner Great cubicle style to stay safe during pandemic! Nice and romantic
Was sat next to the kitchen and was very load. Don’t know if the waitress other tables were across the restaurant but seemed like she forget about us. When they brought the cheese to us she did not turn on the burner the cheese was not hot. When we turned on the burner there was no water in the cooker that it just burned. Took a very long time in between courses. We asked for refills of our drinks and she only brought two drinks and left one almost empty.
Was very disappointed in the service quality a fool for how expensive it was. Been to the Melting Pot numerous times and loved it. I know we’re in a pandemic but this service and food was very not the quality that I was expecting from the Melting Pot.
Not sure why the food & service was so bad. We’ve been several times prior to this, but no one ever turned on our burners, the cheese fondu was already made (not at our table) and was cold, all the silverware & prongs were dirty with food, we had to wait & ask several times to have our water refilled, the chocolate fondu came out cold & was not presented table-side. Our dinner took almost 4 hours. We were there for a birthday, but were given what looked like leftover pieces of pastry & other desserts thrown on a plate instead of the chocolate covered strawberries that were promised. There was no manager who came to address any of the issues & nothing was addressed by our waiter. Really disappointing considering we like to frequent the restaurant.
Great experience, as always.
We waited 20 mins before our waiter even saw us and when he finally came to the table he brushed off the fact that it we had been waiting for so long and rushed us throughout the entire process. It kind of felt like he wanted us to hurry up and get out so that he could go home. He also barely checked on us. I usually don’t leave reviews because I don’t like offending anyone but the service he provided was horrible and we felt like we were inconveniencing him by being there.
We went to dinner on a Sunday evening! Got seated right away. My husband is handicapped and the staff was amazing. Lacrisha our server was perfect! She timed everything perfectly as to not rush us! The food and my martini was very very good!
Not rushed and great atmosphere
Absolutely delicious food. Had to wait quite awhile before someone took drink order.
The greeter wasn’t very friendly, but our server was good. The manager came by the table to check on us, that was positive. The ambience was nice, but the problem is that when you cook your own entree i.e., chicken, fish, beef it would be helpful to have a light to make sure you reach your desired temperature. Cell phone light helped. All in all, enjoyed ourselves and my teenage son decided he wasn’t too bad at cooking on the grill.
My husband and I went there for our 37th Wedding Anniversary. Inside was very cozy and the atmosphere was low key, as far as noise level. The Big Dinner for two was great! I loved the cheese fondue especially. It had bacon bits mixed in with the cheeses. The entree had both meat and fish, plus veg. for cooking and several sauces. The chocolate fondue for dessert was really good too, but I wished they could have given us a little larger portion.
My mom and I went to Melting Pot for a belated birthday for her. I just wanted to say how delightful our server Joseph was. He was funny and nice and surprised my mom with a little makeshift birthday cake. He helped make our celebration night a wonderful night!
Really enjoyed ourselves, excellent service, superb food, great staff.
Great night out with friends. Noah, our server, was affable and attentive. Enjoyed the whole experience.
Food was awesome, great experience. Sydney our waitress was fantastic. Going back next time in Albuquerque😀
If I decided to operate a restaurant where food quality didn’t matter and I wouldn’t need to not bother hiring a pesky chef, Melting Pot would be the place for me!
Overrated and overpriced. It's in a strip mall for goodness sake For the outrageous price we paid I would have expected more. Never again.
We go to Melting Pot a few times a year and to their valentines dinner for multiple years. This year must of missed the sign up email, so went with 16th at 530pm. Food was good as usual but little choices from their normal menu. Should have ordered the same stuff off the normal menu and saved $$. Out of pasta .
Service was s l o w. Not just our server, who was great when there, but others also. Heard a lot of "sorry haven't forgotten you. Sorry it is so slow.." at the 2 hour mark, still were waiting for the chocolate course.
Overall a good experience. But it seems Melting Pot has some internal issues that need to be addressed. To me they just upcharged their normal meal . Their slow service also affected our overall experience.
This was our first time coming here to try out. I thought it was going to be very different, but I was completely satisfied with the turn out. I was very content with the entire experience. My partner/best friend had decided for us to go there. I had an ulterior motive for going there. The whole staff made my evening, one to remember for always. I'm pretty sure she will remember it forever. So anyways, the last courses were approaching. I was in dire need of talking to the server. They were busy so I also did not want to be a pest. Finally, I found him. He asked if i needed help, I said yes sir. I need a lot of help, with what I am trying to do. He asked, what was it, so I pulled out a ring for my partner. He was so surprised that he was going to be a part of this. Next thing I know is the entire staff wanted in on this. So every one had something to do my grand jester of proposing to my partner. She was so surprised with everything that was going on. So the staff helped me out, big time. For doing this on a wine, everything turned out great. She said yes to my proposal, everyone e did such a fantastic job there, I was so impressed by the effort this team did to help me out. I want to thank the entire staff for helping me out. Thanks all. Could not of done this without your alls help!!! Much love to you all for all help. I will recommend this place to all I know. As we were asked by the hostesses, if we would come back for our anniversary, of course we will do that. Melting pot, thank you for giving a very memorable moment to us , thank you for everything you did on 02/16/2020, appreciate everyone there for doing what they did, in such a short notice, thanks again.
When we walked in there was no one waiting at the hostess counter and the hostess wasn’t there. After about a minute she walked up and I told her we had a reservation at 2:45 and it was 2:50. She checked us in and told us to give her a minute while she found us a table. We stood off to the side and the floor was extremely sticky for whatever reason. Two other couples walked in while we were waiting and one had a reservation and one didn’t. It was about 3:05 when the hostess finally told one of the couples that had a reservation AND walked in after us that their table was ready. While the hostess was seating that couple another couple walked in and just kind of stood there confused so when the hostess came back I asked her if she got us check in for our reservation and she looked almost confused but then said oh yeah you’re next follow me. I mean it just seemed a little weird like we made a reservation and we still had to wait almost 20 mins for a table? The melting pot is a great restaurant but I don’t think they have enough staff and if they do I don’t think they have enough staff that care. Other than that first impression, everything was great.
It’s pricey but nice and we didn’t like that we had to do the preset menu
I would like to discuss a refund but the service was so terrible that I don't want to even bother. Me and my girlfriend went for
a Valentine's dinner and it was very disappointing.
The restaurant was dirty, the bathrooms were atrocious. The service left a lot to be desired. For a place that is so expensive, the experience was not up to our expectations. Our reservation was set for 7:45. We were not sat until 8:30. Our waiter was less than attentive with long spans of time between our courses. It took an hour to get the drinks we ordered from the bar. Our glass had food inside, the waiter never took it from our table. Our utensils were dirty and so were the plates that the waiter brought from the kitchen. You could here the wait staff yell corner every time they walked into and out of the kitchen. There was a yellow wet floor come by our table the entire meal. We were told the meal would take an hour and a half, we were there for over three hours.
The management and waitstaff were amazing. The manager went above and beyond with all of our requests.
Excellent service and food, perfect for a romantic Valentines Day!!
Nice meal to spend an early valentines
Ambiance was good. Food as always was great. Our service with Steven was very pleasurable and we fully enjoyed our evening
We had a great time and very good service. We were a group of 9 that had the 4 course lunch on a Saturday. Brought my 13 yo and 6 of her friends here for her birthday celebration and both the management and waiter were very accommodating. They let two of us sit at a separate table so that the 7 girls could sit together and provided very helpful (and accurate) advice for how many meals would need to feed the group, which saved me money. The waiter was also excellent and very patient with this group of young ladies!!
They managed to fit us in at the last minute. There was a problem with one of the burners at out first table, but they dealt with it quickly and professionally. Everyone was friendly, and the food was, as usual, excellent. We were slightly sad for the absence of cauliflower and broccoli, but we still had enough to eat. In fact, the entree portion size for Cheese Fondue Day was a little smaller than the regularly-priced entrees, and we were able to eat the chocolate and not feel overstuffed.
Food was excellent, service seemed a little indifferent, resulting in a leisurely three hour meal.
Waiter was good at the beginning but after our salads he came only a few times. We were completely out of water half way through the meal. Very disappointed!
The food was delicious, it always is which is why we chose The Melting Pot to celebrate my wife’s birthday, it is one of her favorite places.
Everything was going great. While waiting in the entree, I spoke to our server Nate (Nathan) and let him know that we were there to celebrate my wife’s birthday. He said that he would bring a “Celebration plate” out fir her during the entree.
The entree came, Nate checked on the table, then that was the last we saw of him for at least 45 minutes. I finally went to get a manager to ask for the check. I also asked them to cancel our dessert order (my wife’s favorite part) since we had to get the kids home for bed. Obviously, since there was no server, there was no birthday celebration plate. Nate never even bothered to apologize.
At the end, we did get help from a nice, apologetic server named Joe. The Manager was very apologetic about it, but the damage was done.
It was still a very good meal, but a very disappointing experience.
Very small portions. Table of 6 given same amounts as table of 4 or less. Expensive versus portion size. Used to be bigger portions.
I’ve been to this location many times and always had a great time. This time our reservation ran 30 minuets late, bummer it we showed up 40 minuets early. Our waiter was horrible!!! You could tell he just wanted to get off the clock and go out. He NEVER took a drink order, I had to ask for a bottle of wine, he never asked what we wanted. We had to remind him that he needed to ask us our cooking style, and what meats we wanted. He was just walking away after asking our salad, cheese, and dessert. He brought our wine after we finished our cheese so I sent it back, no reason to have it if we have to rush a whole bottle now. He never gave us a refill on our water, and left a tray with dirty dishes at our table for almost the whole meal. Talked to management and he took the tray, couldn’t get out of the booth since it was blocking us and had to flag someone down. We got champagne with our meal... well we should have. We had to remind him of this as well and he said oh ya it’s been a long day. After paying for our meal and waiting 15 minuets for our champagne we decided we’d leave. Our waiter was at a table full of coworkers wrapping silver ware, chatting away. He looked at us leaving and ran to get the champagne, walked past us and never said anything to us to apologize. Worst experience I’ve ever had at the melting pot, and I’m not sure if I’d ever go back, brought this to managements attention and nothing was done. Sucks getting service like this after paying so much.
