Potatoes with crabcake were really runny. Mixed vegetables were just OK. Used to having a salad and roll with meals. No dessert available except for ice cream. Pretty lame for the price we paid.
Given the current situation with COVID-19, we were very uncomfortable sitting inside for dinner with a young lady sitting at the bar (I believe she was employee who just finished her shift) totally oblivious to how loud she was talking and laughing (without a mask on). Our fault for not choosing to sit outside on a very humid evening, but none of the employees seemed to notice or care. We have been out to eat a few times since the restaurants opened back up, and this is the first time I actually felt uncomfortable. The plastic utensils were so flimsy I could hardly cut my fish with them. Food was pretty good and the music outstanding, but unfortunately, I could not wait to leave.
Always a great time at The Grill at Back Creek. Service is outstanding (thank you Cate), the atmosphere is lively and the food/beer selection is one of the best in town.

They were just getting open as the restrictions lifted in Delaware on dining inside. They were busy they were short staffed yet our service once young man got to our table was very good. Service was with paper plates and plastic cutlery which was barely sufficient to cut the food.I understand it was trying conditions for the Club dining room however this is a fair and honest report
Server did not remember drinks. Touched fruit with hands. Was not good.

We made a reservation for 4. We all had a great time. The young lady playing the guitar and singing was outstanding. Our server was very nice and proficient. We were not rushed and enjoyed every minute of being back out for drinks, dinner, and music. Thank You!

Our server Shawn seemed more interested in discussing football with another customer then checking on his tables. After we finished eating, we waited for check for about 15 min before he came over with it. Stood at the bar and chatted with a customer that was not even his table, overall it was just very awkward for us. Food was very good though. Not sure if i will come back though.
Arrived early, no problem. Our server, Kevin, was excellent and glad to see the return of seated dining.

Back Creek held a Mardi Gras party on Sunday, including a special menu for the day. Normally the Chef's interpretations are very well done but the large turnout appears to have overwhelmed the kitchen. Service was much slower than usual, despite the efforts of the wait staff to keep things moving. The Jambalaya special was a huge disappointment. Billed as: Chicken, shrimp, and andouille sausage all sauteed with garlic, oil, and Cajun seasonings served over Creole rice and topped with green onions. The dish was served over NOODLES, with no rice. And the seasonings tasted more Italian than Cajun. But having the special event on a Sunday Instead of just Friday and Saturday) was a great idea and was well-received by customers.
The server was either very inexperienced or had something going on. She disappeared for chunks of time, didn’t clear our appetizer plates , empty bottles,or our dinner plates. We were constantly trying to make room at the table with the next course arriving. We’d ask for drink refills and it took forever. The cocktail sauce for our shrimp appetizer was frozen. Again, the server was no where to be found. We ended up asking the bartender to go find her. The food was okay. We ordered the chefs specials being it was a weekend. We would have enjoyed the meal a lot more if the service was decent. How can they be so shortstaffed on a weekend. There was live music that was just okay. They were too loud though. We like music. We just like to talk at dinner without having to scream to each other. I’d go elsewhere until TheGrille gets their act together.

Always enjoy our meals here. Crabcakes, very good (and I'm a bit of a crabcakes snob) my husband NY strip was delicious. Friend got skirt steak, ordered medium but came out rare, never as good once it has to be cooked more. Waitress friendly and efficient although she did not hear our ahi tuna app order, very apologetic but was too late once we realized mistake. Will definitely go back
The food was very good. A bit pricey for what I was expecting
They seemed to be a little overwhelmed with Valentine's Day rush. Our food took so long that we forgot that we ordered an appetizer. Acknowledging that allowed us to enjoy the experience. The food was good, but the Tres Leche cake was AMAZING! I would go back just for another slice of that. I would definitely try again at a less busy time to fully enjoy the experience. As it is in a community, it was a little hard to find on a dark evening night. There were no lights leading up to it, which made the drive up feel a little sketchy.
Have been here several times and for a quick Valentines dinner it appeared the staff wasn’t quite ready as I had someone else’s dish but my wifes was fine, just not a lot of flavor in my Shrimp and Crab dish?
Worst experience I have had at the Grille. Had reservations through Open Table for 630. Night started out fine. The waitress took our drink order within in a few minutes of being seated. After about 7 minutes she came back saying she would be right back with our drinks. She then proceeded to take care of another two tables, one of which she went to the bar and got their drinks. After watching her do this, I looked up at the bar and the bartender was just pouring our drinks, which she passed by and took another 3 minutes to get them and bring to our table. In all it took her over 15 minutes from drinks order to get us our drinks, a beer and a glass of wine. At this time we were ready to order and they were out of the special for the night. When I asked why they gave us the specials menu, the waitress stated that they hadn't communicated yet to the hostess stand they were out of their special. Completely dumbfounded how you could be out of your Thursday special by 630 at night. Ended up leaving without ordering dinner or touching our drinks. Went to a different place and got our food almost fast as we got our drinks at the Grille. All around very disappointed.
Extremely slow service for a Friday night. Very loud I the bar area, louder with the live music. Live music was very good though! Food was good, just not wow. Would like to go back and try sitting in a different area.

Prime Rib night is well worth the trip! Excellent beff at reasonable price.
The bartender was also hostess and server and did a very good job. Food and drinks came out in a timely manner. Portions were very good, most of us took half our meal home.
We were there for burger night. The burgers were delicious. Services was a little slow and the noice level was high.
Good food and great experience
I always enjoy the food and atmosphere at the grille, however this time the food was sub par. 4 out of the 8 people that were with us had the ribeye. All 4 were very tough and not cooked properly. All the other food was very good. The noise level that night also seemed a little over the top.
We did say something to one of the managers about our meal. She said she would see what she could do about it but never returned to our table.
We made a reservation for 14 people and the table was ready. Service was fantastic, the food excellent. Our guest and ourselves had a good time. It was a little noisy but the overall experience was very good. Our server mike was on the ball and did a very good job of taking care of us.

It was VERY loud. It was like being in a full blown bar atmosphere. We came in to eat to have a business dinner meeting and had to reschedule our meeting due to not being able to hear. The food and service was good. The hostess was not very personable when greeting. For a high end country club, the standards her are not very high.
Can’t go wrong with the Back Creek burger and fried shrimp platter, which are two of our favorites. The holidays are bringing more folks in on Sunday nights (a good thing) so making a reservation is very helpful.

For the first time, I was disappointed with my dinner. It did not live up to the description. My dinner companions food was delicious.
