   Ambience and lobster was amazing. The crab cakes tasted off and I bit into a hard shell. when I told my server. She just shrugged and asked if I wanted something else no mention of discount or reversing the charge. Also the website doesn’t mention that it’s not wheelchair or stroller friendly. Stairs everywhere. I have mobility issues and we had a toddler with stroller.

   Food was amazing, we had the halibut and the lamb both dishes were fantastic. Our server name was Kristen and she was fabulous! She was very accommodating but also not over bearing. We where told we had the last bottle of tidal bay but Kristen took time to find another bottle for us. The experience was absolutely wonderful. Can’t wait to enjoy everything the Five Fishermen has to offer again!

   Our service was impeccable - friendly, engaging, thoughtful - it was far above our expectations; even for such a posh spot. The food was delicious. The cocktails were unique and refreshing. Desserts were just the right size. The cost was on the higher end, but worth absolutely every penny.

    Both waiters were very pleasant and very helpful. The food was excellent; however, some shellfish were a bit overdone and the lobster was a bit though. We had a lovely evening as we were celebrating a 50+ year wedding anniversary. We will not hesitate to recommend to friends Thank you again.

    Didn’t realize it wasn't wheelchair accessible. Our table was down stairs it was dark felt like I was in a gentleman's club. Staff was around the bar chatting very loudly. Wasn’t a good experience.

    The food was not what we expected for such a high class establishment. Our Acadian Linguine was very underwhelming and we wouldn’t have finished if we were not starving. And the signature Fish Fish dish was not worth the 52 dollar price tag.

    The first time I ate there was 3 years ago. I had the best meal that I have ever eaten at a restaurant. I was excited to go back this year for the first time post pandemic. Apparently there is a new chef. Still an amazing meal, but probably a top 5 best meal I have ever had. Great, but not quite as mind-blowing as it was before. Still something that I will look forward to when visiting Halifax.

    Food was delicious. We were a little thrown off when we entered in the music was quite loud but the dining is upstairs and it’s not loud at all up there! We had the five fisherman experience and it was delicious!!!

    The service we received was world class. Our waitress Laura went above and beyond to take care of us. As we were celebrating our anniversary, Laura brought us champagne, roses and a special dessert. Our experience at the 5 Fishermen will never be forgotten.

    Was excited to try some great seafood here and was a little disappointed to be honest. I had the clam chowder and the five fisherman experience. The clam chowder was outstanding. Might’ve been the best clam chowder I’ve ever tasted. Fully worth the price. However the main entree was lacking. First of all I found a hair in my food. Disgusting, but okay, I’ll keep eating because I didn’t want to disappoint our wonderful waitress. The lobster tail was tiny, salmon basic, scallops and shrimp flavourless. It was mostly risotto with some seafood chunks inside. Our waitress was very pleasant, helpful and even brought us a small thank you desert. Overall I’d say there are better places to try seafood in/near Halifax.

    Great energy and vibes. The staffs were amazing and the restaurant manager was indeed incredible. Love his energy and how he made my friends and I feel welcome and at home. He is indeed amazing. I'll definitely be back next time with more new guests to try out the menu and restaurant. The food was delicious and the drinks were so good and yummy!!. Honestly, I had the best time.     We had 5 people in our party. One person received a very overcooked swordfish. It was returned and replaced quickly with a different dish. The server however did not take the overcooked meal off of the bill and we had to actually ask for it to be removed. They didn’t really seem to be overly sorry about either issue. Our bill was $480 before tip. A visit by the manager with a sincere apology and possibly an offer of something complementary are usually the way restaurants handle these types of issues. Disappointed for this supposed level of restaurant.

    Amazing restaurant with an amazing staff! I would 100% recommend this beautiful place. Not only is the decor, the food and the ambiance simple magical but our server was fantastic! Our server, who only told us at the end that she was a sommelier, paired us with the perfect wine during our meal. And the food, oh my the food, I don’t think I’ve ever eaten so well before. It was absolutely delicious! Bonus: it was my husbands birthday and our server brought out a couple of candles in the dessert but in such an elegant way that didn’t seem over the top tacky. Thank you for everything and we will definitely go back if we ever visit Halifax again!

    Our meal didn’t need to take over 4 hrs 6:15-out after 1030… For a business meeting with clients - the service was slow and lacked. Had to ask for water, for a dessert menu 3 times, our plates to be cleared when they sat for a long time. Would recommend the tuna tartare and scallops Don’t get the lobster risotto - very weird tasting For business meetings at this high price point I would go somewhere else next time.

    A bit disappointed in our meal and service. Halibut was over cooked, the lobster dinner could have used drawn butter. The profiteroles were over done and the panacotta on a cookie was not able to be broken with a spoon (cookie). Service was sparse did not check in on how are meals were done. Not bad. Not good. Always made this a stop while in Halifax but there are better places downtown and on the wharf. Certainly over priced for our meal and experience tonight. P.S. if you have mobility issue there is no nearby parking, no valet service and lots of stairs to the dining area.

    Wife’s Whole Lobster was good but putting 20 potatoes to fill the plate is not wise. Mixed vegetables would be preferred. I had a $53 Seafood platter which advertises Shrimp, Scallops, lobster tail, haddock and Risotto. The plate was loaded with Risotto, had 2 shrimp, 2 scallops, a tiny piece of haddock and a Lobster tail which was so small that after it was cooked gave 1 bite of Lobster. People don’t mind spending money for a decent portion of quality food. It should’ve been called a Risotto platter. Nice atmosphere and servers.

    Wanted to enjoy a nice seafood meal on my final night in Halifax and Five Fishermen didn’t disappoint. I had the crab cakes to start (which were fine, but not near as good as the Maryland cakes I’m used to) but then came the lobster! I’ve enjoyed various lobsters globally, from Cape Town to Maine, and I can honestly say this was the best lobster I’ve ever had. Cooked to perfection, sweet and tender, it was magnificent.
