   I was pleased to be able to sit outside on the patio, which was a delightful space. I suspect the staffing is short these days, as with so many places. There was no area of fretting at the street entrance, and it took quite some time for anyone to come help me get seated (I had a reservation). Once seated the server was pleasant and prompt, helpful with making suggestions. As the evening wore in and the place got busier, it was harder to get her attention. We ordered the tuna tartare and bursts as starters. Neither seems to have been freshly plated, and both had similar sauces and garnishes. The bureaus should have been served with a few crostini, in this diner’s opinion. The wontons with the tuna were a nice touch. I had the kale salad for my meal. It was fresh, nicely made, good dressing and finely chopped nuts and cheese added a nice balance of flavors. My dining companion ordered the veal and unfortunately it was tough and fatty. Would not order again. On a good note, cocktails and wine selection were great, and the pacing of food arriving was spot on. If we come back, we will make sure to order different starters and something other than the veal. We love the sister restaurant Buttercup, so are certainly willing to give the Farmhouse another try!

   The food was amazing - never have had a bad thing there. This was my third time. The dessert was a strawberry rhubarb with vanilla ic cream and a soft granola - we loved it! Will be back!

   The food is always consistently really good, however sitting right next to the kitchen wasn’t a good experience. It was a little slow getting started but the service was generally fine. Hearing pans clanging didn’t make for good ambience. I will always ask for a table far away from the kitchen. It was for a birthday so I thought we would receive a better table but we did not.

   We love that this restaurant has something for everyone on the menu, and is even willing to make substitutions (e.g. mashed potatoes for pasta). It's also consistently excellent handmade food and a variety of well-crafted /sourced drinks. Our favorites from last night: fish tacos, halibut with fennel and peppers, strawberry-rhubarb crisp. In a convenient location in Needham Center with plenty of parking nearby. I'm so glad we know about this restaurant and we'll be back soon!

    This was our first time dining at The Farmhouse. We came here to celebrate our daughter’s 17th birthday. This restaurant surely did not disappoint. The food was to die for and the service was excellent. We surely will return.

    We have eaten at Farmhouse many times, but this is our first time in 2022. We were really underwhelmed with the menu. Maybe the chef has changed? Two taco choices for entrees when you only have a total of eight items? Also seems like the winter menu for both food and drinks had not turned over for Spring. While the food was fine, it tasted and looked like something you could get a mid-tier restaurant for 1/2 the price. Certainly not worth the cost. After so many great meals at the Farmhouse previously, it was such a letdown. We likely will not go back.

    Ordered the steak / frites. Not the best steak I've had for $38. The cut was decent proportion size -- but had much fat on 2 of its sides and a major vein down the middle that one needed to cut around. Preparation (medium) was perfect. Thank you for substituting mashed potatoes for fries.

    The food was great and came out very fast and was cooked to perfection. We had Halibut, Chicken and shrimp Tacos at our table... Everything yummy. Flavors/sauces made the dishes. Small space but great design and good vibe! If I lived in the area I would be there often!
