Good food good service
We love brunch at the Dandelion. It never disappoints!
Best burger in Philly! Such a cool vibe in there. Ambiance is great! Getting snowed in here would be fun!
Ordered the steak tartare charcuterie and tandoori chicken. Both were great. Will be back for sure.
Second time at the Dandelion and was just as impressed when I dined with them over 5 years ago. The ambiance is great and service is top notch. Dandelion Salad is refreshing on warm spring/summer day. Quality bar program and great British beers on tap. Would highly recommend this place to all.
Train your wait staff.
My husband and I had the pleasure to discover Dandelion for high tea before going to a 6 pm show at the Academy of Music. We will definitely be back!
My second time here and It's such a treat!!!
Definitely one of my favorite spots in all of Philly!
Charming place, but I’m all about the food and it was rather mediocre.
When in Philly it is our go to brunch stop!
Absolutely amazing from start to finish! Greg was an absolute gem. He was super knowledgeable about the menu and every single recommendation was superb! Phenomenal drinks, food, service- we had a drink at the bar waiting for our table and the bartender was also wonderful!!!! If I could give 100 stars I would!!
Long delay between dropping menus and taking order
In heart of Philly, we went on a Wednesday evening to visit. Booked a table in advance still got a crammed table at 3rd floor, upon requesting we got moved to a better place.
1. Food is really good (Egg devils and Chicken/Duck perfait were too delish)
2. Cocktails are good too, could have been better, Liked one of the ginger-vodka based cocktail.
3. No complain about service
1. Get a table in advance.
Noise level was unbelievable loud that it drowned out any possibility of a conversation over food which ruined a evening out The staff rushed you through the meals Again it spoiled a good evening out
Staff let your guest enjoy the evening and please don’t remove food until the customers have finished and then straight exchange the starter with the main course
As always the food was sensational but the portions where small. The staff is very pleasant.
We were a group of five and got seated at a nice window table. I would describe The Dandelion decor as a refined British pub with a cozy atmosphere- the kind that is perfect for afternoon tea. We went for dinner. Everything we ordered was delicious. The ricotta cheese spread was the standout.
Great taste of British food & British style pub. Highly recommended
Great atmosphere and great experience
Love the ambience of Dandelion, it’s perfect for afternoon tea or a romantic dinner. Shared the Special Occasion and the liver & duck parfait. Their parfait (aka pate) is amazing. I often go here just for that dish. Afternoon tea portions filled 2 people.
We were there to celebrate my son's graduation from high school for Saturday lunch/brunch. Service was perfect and our server, Christopher, was the best -- he even sent over a surprise dessert for my son after hearing we were there for his graduation. Roast beef sandwich with horseradish sauce is delicious, as always, and something I crave for a return visit. My husband raved about the omelette. Portion size maybe a tad small for the shepherd's pie, but very good. Love The Dandelion and will return.
Always a great meal here. This time I ordered the tandori chicken and it was so good.
Service was wonderful! Food was just as good. We hope to return again soon. Would recommend The Dandelion to anyone visiting Philly and looking for a nice meal. Location is also a plus, as it is a short 15 minute walk to several Broad St locations.
As always, FABULOUS. But finally was able to make it there for the afternoon tea (always wanted to go, never seem to hit the timing right!) It didn’t disappoint. The two-tier tray of sandwiches were perfect. Great little portions to give you a sample of some fantastic tea sandwiches. Favorites were chicken curry salad and the open face deviled-egg. Wonderful cocktail list. I got the Rosè mimosa (outstanding) and my friend got a basil strawberry drink with rosemary infused simple syrup - perfect flavor for summer. This spot is perfect if you actually want to talk with your dinner partner without a busy, loud restaurant buzzing around you. Quiet and pleasing atmosphere in an intimate, cozy setting!
The food overall is great, with the greatest accolades given to the pastry chef - just amazing. Oh and the bread! It’s probably the best bread I’ve ever eaten. The service was outstanding (the waitress let my husband try a new beer before he committed to it) and the overall ambiance is lovely. The only suggestion for improvement I have is that a wee bit more lighting would be nice as we had to turn on our flashlights on our phone to read the menu.
Was here for our first time.. I brought my English hubby. Was hoping there were some English employees. Only counted 1, however the ambiance was very very nice, our waitress was great & I loved the food. I had the deviled eggs which were outstanding. The shrimp cocktail which was... a shrimp cocktail but the shrimps were very large. I also had their burger which was an obvious blend of meats and was extremely tasty. I asked for it off the bun , but it arrived on the bun. Hubby got bangers & he liked them very much and said the bangers were the real deal. Id go again. TY :)
We had a very good dinner here the other night. Service was great. Wish we had more time in town to eat at The Dandelion for another meal as it was so good from start to finish.
Had a great time with great food. The decor is cool as well. They had a great drink selection as well.
Everything was outstanding: food, service and presentations. The food is wonderfully balanced in taste and textures. We loved it!
All around great food and atmosphere at Sunday brunch, go!
Food was good, waiter was great. I did not care for the location of my outdoor table... but I chose to sit outside and I did NOT request a different table. I would probably sit indoors from now on. It was the first time sitting outside at the Dandelion... Was quite though... when you sit indoors, it is sometimes difficult to carry a conversation with all the background noise.
Food was delicious and the atmosphere was very cool!
I really loved our server and afternoon tea was delightful. I had no idea that you offered tea services. I look forward to another visit and trying brunch as well.
Dandelion was amazing. They accommodated the vegan in our party at a reduced price. Our waiter Michael was amazing. All in all a wonderful experience.
My companion and I met for a mid-week dinner and requested the Dog Room, where the noise is mitigated by draperies. The crisp smoked salmon & trout kedgeree cakes with minted yoghurt to split provided a light savory before the main course: risotto for my friend, and small tender mussels in the most delicious white wine garlic broth I’ve tasted.
Our server was attentive without being intrusive, keeping a watchful eye on drinks and clearing service items. My date declined a dessert, but I thoroughly enjoyed the shrewsbury cake.
I took my 2 friends to afternoon tea. We liked the restaurnt itself, the decor was fine & we liked where we sat in the bar decorated with dogs, but the food wasn't really good. The sandwiches were just terrible. They were so old the soft bread had crusted over on the outside, they tasted of refrigerator & the flavors were either missing or terrible. I was really disappointed. The dessert layers were better, with some actual winners. Scones were just OK, more like a biscuit than scone, but the clotted cream, lemon curd & jam were very good.
The champagne was very sweet, not sure what it was, but not good & the rosé mimosa was awful. We were told it was pureed raspberry & champagne sprayed with rose water. Unfortunately it smelled like an air freshner & didn't taste very good. I'm sad because I really wanted to like this place.
Just to clarify, we didn't go on a weekend, during a rush period, special event or holiday. It was a Wednesday afternoon & they weren't very busy. It should have been better.
The food was delicious and the tea extraordinary. Already planning another trip there.
It's not a big group place...they were helpful in adjusting our reservation. However our group got too big and we ended up at bistro tables in the bar. Much too crowded to accommodate us which wasn't their fault, it was ours.
Amazing service friendly atmosphere top notch scotch selection and delicious meal
We actually went for breakfast AND lunch! Both were so yummy. Service great too! And the building was also pretty groovy. Nice healthy options available... so important!
The food was delicious and the ambiance was amazing. I went with my parents and my boyfriend, and we all had a wonderful time. I had the shepherd's pie and we all shared the pickled beet jar appetizer that came with crostini and smooth goat cheese, as well as an olive tapenade. The food was delicious and arrived pretty quickly. We also shared the caramel bread pudding! Amazing!
