    The atmosphere and the place itself was very nice. Staff was very accommodating very helpful however, we done the chefs cut which was a picanha steak with potatoes and asparagus.  the steak was sooo tough and the potatoes and asparagus were good, but could’ve done at home. However it did come with a sauce that was very, very good. Just really underwhelmed with this place expectations were much higher. By the way, the chefs cut was $55 per person. We paid $145 with a tip and all we had was water. Not worth the value !

    Halloween Tea was an excellent choice. The presentation of tea savories and sweets were delicious. Held in the Godwin Room at the Williamsburg Inn.

    Despite reserving with designation of our anniversary and reminding them upon arriving, there was absolutely no acknowledgement. An attempt to seat us in the walkway when there was plenty of room. This historic restaurant is no longer what it once was. Ambience lacking all around. The once regency room is now only used for reception events. No wine recommendations and no daily menu updates were provided until asked. The cut of the day bone in ribeye was a surprise charge of more than twice what other entree items were listed at. Food was good but for the price there are other establishments.

    Aside from the difficult time I had arranging the actual event with Hostess Donna and Concierge Johnathan, when I arrived to set up the table for my friends’ birthday breakfast, everyone was extremely helpful and excited to participate in helping make it a special event. Our waiters were exceptional and the greet and goodbyes were just wonderful. The food was great. Menu very nicely laid out and everything was great. Like I mentioned earlier, I had a hard time communicating my needs over the phone which were pretty simple (may I arrive early to decorate the table and will there be anything to celebrate her or do I need to bring a cake). I don’t know why but both Hostess Donna and Concierge Johnathan were super negative and it felt like they couldn’t get me off the phone fast enough; not exactly what you’d expect to experience. I hope they understand what that conveys to the customer- we don’t need the business, please go away. In any case, it all worked out. Thanks again.

    Went there to celebrate our 33rd wedding anniversary. Michael was our server and he was outstanding! What a lovely engaging and attentive waiter. He made the night perfect for us.
