The food was nicely prepared, but honestly, the quantity vs cost will prevent me from ever going back. Our meal was nice, but not exceptional. We had 12 oz of sake, 2 cocktails, sushi for four, and one chicken teriyaki. The bill was $350!!! I nearly fainted. I am sorry, for $70 per person, I would hope for exceptional.

Really delicious Sushi. So fresh! Definitely some of the best I’ve found in Calgary. Very busy and high energy. Need a reso near lunch. Worth a visit for sure.

The food was so delicious and the fish tasted really fresh and high quality. The sushi chefs are out in open so you can watch them prepare if you’re sitting the bar, everything feels very authentic here. Service was excellent - especially from Judith! This place is truly family owned, we learned that all of the desserts are made from Judith’s mother. The restaurant itself has a great atmosphere and is quiet cozy. Definitely go here if you’re looking for a delicious dinner downtown!

We were there for the third time. This restaurant offers the best ratio quality-price of any Japanese restaurants I have ever come across. They have a nice selection of quality Sake and offer fish that come directly from Japan

This was our first meal off the plane. The food was so unique and deep. Absolutely delicious. Our waitress was amazing. I believe her name was Judith (?) according to our receipt. She was personable, hospitable and gave us amazing recs on what to check out. It was a great experience. Thank you!

Sukiyaki House is always a treat, never a disappointment. We always order our "mainstays" (such as Agedashi Tofu, and the gyoza, and sashimi), but then usually try one of the week's "House specials" and a hand roll. The food is beautiful: fresh and beautifully presented. And the food - while excellent - is almost eclipsed by the service - which is 5 star. They always make us feel like friends, and we always leave happy and delighted.

We were hosting our son's 25th birthday in September and had a great experience. The restaurant was so accommodating to our ever expanding numbers from 4 people to 8 to 12 people. Even up to the last minute. The service for our large group was excellent. The food was fantastic. Managing all the separate bills was taken care of very well too. We were happy to see how busy the restaurant became as we were there and we look forward to coming to your restaurant again.

Amazing sushi. We would 100% recommend this place and will be back. The staff were lovely and welcoming. The sashimi was some of the best I have ever had. The prices are very reasonable. We can’t wait to go back. A lovely night out.

The owners and staff at Sukiyaki are always first class and always finding better ways to improve their service. Hands down the best Japanese restaurant in Calgary - I would say they can go heads on with any top Japanese cuisine in Vancouver and be at a minimum, comparable.
