    Very cool spot, great service, Tori was excellent, food was layers of deliciousness. Little loud but it was only one raucous table in the back. Every bite seemed to be better than the previous one.

    Delicious food, great cocktails. We sat in the bar and could actually hear each other, though the atmosphere was convivial and upbeat. The happy hour is one of the best bargains in the Pittsburgh restaurant industry. Roasted Carrots are delicious. One of us is vegetarian, and there were delicious options for her. Omnivores will find distinctive preparations. The atmosphere, food, and drinks rival similar neighborhood finds in Manhattan and Brooklyn.

    Station always comes through. The food is creative and well executed. There are vegetarian options, fun cocktails, and seasonal choices. We’ve had the distinct luck of having Chris as our server the last few times we’ve dined at Station and he is truly the icing on the cake. He is kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. I definitely recommend dining here, they do not disappoint!

    The food was great. The ambience was soft and modern. They had cute flowers and tea light candles. We went to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Our waiter was the young red head guy….. He knew the menu very well. He was great and made our experience personable. He discovered tonight was my husband’s birthday and celebrated it with us. Thank you Station

    My daughter and I had a wonderful meal at Station. Great menu and meals, nice wine selection, wonderful service. I enjoy fine dining in a laid-back atmosphere, so this was my kind of place. It was quiet when we were there, but also not very busy. My daughter needs gluten-free options and was so happy that they have GF pasta and gnocchi! We will definitely return.

    Everything was amazing. The carrot salad was delicious and the chickpea croutons were outstanding. We thoroughly enjoyed the bread with ramp butter. The pasta were outstanding. We had the carrot bolognese and tagliatelle and both were fantastic. And then dessert - yum. The ice cream and lava FRR pound cake were a great way to end the meal. Would definitely return!

    I agree with a previous reviewer that the food was overly salty. The lavender poundcake was disappointing in that I was hoping for more pronounced lavender taste. It was also somewhat dry, although the poached pineapple was moist and helped improve the overall taste. The black wall and ceiling are dramatic but not overly appealing. Our sever, however, was a sweet guy. Very capable and personable.

    We hadn't been back to Station for a few years because it was disappointing the first time back in 2018 or so. We tried it again last night and won't be back. We were seated in the main dining room because the high top we had reserved wasn't available, though we waited for 20 minutes after the reservation time. It was just impossible to converse in the main dining room because of the noise level and reverberation. Couldn't even hear the waiter, and no, we aren't elderly and don't have hearing problems. The food overall was terribly salty--like the last time. The best item was the mixed green salad. The bread plate--an appetizer item for $13 or so--consisted of three little crescents of bread--2 with pesto spread on them-- a square of very salty ramp butter and some shards of "spice cracker" which was interesting but not for $13. Dinner was weird--we got the roast chicken, which was ok, squares of chicken artistically arranged on a plate, plus some kind of croquette things, again all very salty. We also had a pasta dish, the malfadine which was ok but very oily, kind of sitting in a pool of oil. My nephew did enjoy the short rib dish. Quite the Mother's Day disappointment

    Our experience at The Station was terrific. The food was fantastic, unique, and tasty. The ambiance was perfect—darker, more intimate. We chose a tall table by the bar and we enjoyed the atmosphere. We will return.

    We had a lovely dinner with something for everyone (meat lovers, vegetarians) complemented by delicious cocktails. Bonus: it was quiet enough for conversation which is rare in restaurants these days.

    The large dining room was almost empty so it was very easy for us to hear each other but it has been a bit noisy on other occasions. The service was excellent as was the food. The menu continues to include a few delicious dishes that deserve to be offered year after year like the carrot salad, tagliatelle with smoked pork and the desserts. The green salad is lovely too. The ONLY negative is a faint smell of cigarette smoke in the large dining room (originating in a neighboring space) which hopefully can be dealt with somehow. The chef took time to talk to a friend who's on a very restrictive diet and he was able to accommodate her needs thoughtfully and tastefully. We'll be dining at Station often!

    The food was incredibly underwhelming especially for the price. The dishes were oily, under salted, and bland. The cocktails were also so strong that I barely drank one of them.

    I think the part we like most about Station is the preparation of the dishes, all of which are different than what you’d make at home. Pork tenderloin had a complex sauce, appropriate but a little different than other places.

    The flavor profile of each cocktail and every dish was just superb. Chef put care into creating the menu and crafting each dish and it was a fantastic cuisine experience. We had to get dessert just because we could tell that would be uniquely enjoyable!

    Happy we chose The Station for dinner on our overnight trip to Pittsburgh. It is always nice to have a restaurant provide a meal that went beyond our expectations. I had a great meal from cocktail, appetizer, entree and dessert. The cocktail was something called Earthly Delights or something like that, the appetizer/salad was persimmon, cotto, cheese, etc., the entree was chicken and our shared dessert was a lavender pound cake. And, our server, Eliza, and the hostess were both charming and professional. I have no intention of writing a review but thought it deserved the time.

    We were greeted and seated promptly! Our server, a younger gentleman, was very friendly, engaging and attentive. He was especially kind to my pre-teen and teen daughters, and this isn’t always the case, even though they frequently enjoy fine dining. Our starters and cocktails were delicious. We had mains from the pasta offerings, as well as the pork tenderloin. Everything was well seasoned, cooked to ordered temperature and very flavorful! We ordered a solid bottle of Malbec from a thoughtful and reasonably priced wine list, which had offerings by the glass and bottle. This is our second visit to Station. It was better than the last and we will be sure to return and recommend!

    I read reviews prior to our visit. Many of them noted some of the entrees were very salty. We expierenced the same thing. I had the pork tenderloin and it was prepared to perfection. The seasoning on the brussal sprouts was very salty. Good thing I take medication for high blood pressure 😳. The noise level in the restaurant was high even though the restaurant wasn’t even half full. I thought the prices were higher than average. Between the salty entrees, the noise level and the prices, maybe that’s why the restaurant was less than half full on a Saturday evening. If it were my restaurant I’d address the first two items I mentioned.

    I always want to like it here, but it's always a little disappointing. Drinks were excellent, food was sub-par for the price. Some things taste good, some don't but in fixable ways not just personal preference (e.g. way too salty veg, or nearly tasteless dessert). Wound up spending 150 for a dinner for two that I think would have been better priced around 80 for what you get.
