   We went here for a birthday dinner because we have been to the Corner bar in the hotel before and it was good. Unfortunately, it was the actual worst meal me and my entire family have ever had. First, the appetizer clam chowder came out completely cold. We never send things back but we had to. Then we had to eat it with a fork because they brought no spoons and we didn't want to complain more. But then we ordered the two specials and the meals that came out were completely different - so two of us had to wait to eat until the other two's meals came out. To be fair, the manager did tell us that the kitchen had the wrong specials menu. But by the time we got our correct meals, all four meals were completely cold. The philly steak sandwich was inedible, we didn't even want to box it up. The muscles in the pasta were dried out and horrific. I really never try to write negative reviews but when I approached the manager and asked for our food to be comped, he only comped one entree and the meal was still $250, WITHOUT tip. I understand mistakes happen but I am completely disappointed in how the manager decided to handle the final outcome with the bill.

   Food was not the issue. Waiter, had to remind several times of forgotten items (ie a fork etc) and find throughout meal. Piece of metal was found in my sons Mac & cheese. The manager addressed the issue at our table and mentioned that it was odd and ‘he’d investigate’ took that meal charge off the bill. Overall the nonchalant attitude that the manager had when this could’ve been a serious issue was unprofessional and rude.

   Food was delicious and well prepared, as always. The team was understaffed and the kitchen was slammed, so it took about 40 minutes to get our drinks, and a longer time than most places for our meal orders to make it to the table. Expecting that to be the case, we included an extra hour on our reservation in order make sure we did not miss our ticketed event later that evening. Spruce Farm & Fish never disappoints with drinks or food, be it brunch or dinner. Every time we’ve been there over the years, everything has been properly cooked to the perfect temp, and the staff is congenial. Just make sure you’re not in a rush if going for dinner; you’ll need the extra time.

   The food was only ok which compounded by the poor service made for a bad evening. We asked our server on the size of the fish and chips as 2 of the party wanted to share and was told 3-4 pieces of fish so we went ahead and split them. When the dish was served I was given a single piece of fish about the size of a chicken nugget. When we questioned it we were told that the fish and chips are served on a weight system! Ridiculous At several times during the meal several people at the table were without water which the server completely ignored When the coffee arrived cold after at least a 20 min wait that was the final straw for me!!

   If you're looking for an upscale dining experience in Boulder, Spruce Farm and Fish is definitely worth a visit.     Great brunch menu in classical setting. Friendly service. The Hotel Boulderado is worth a stop if you are walking around Boulder. And the Spruce Farm & Fish is icing on the cake.

    I really enjoyed the food. My best friend and I came in for dinner. Arrived early for dinner, and happy hour was still happening. If you are looking for a tasty small sandwich bite with happy hour, I would recommend the prime rib french dip sliders. They had so much flavor and the price was very reasonable.

    Spruce never disappoints! We ventured there on a Friday evening for dinner, so we expected it to be busy; service was a little slow to start, but that gave us extra time to enjoy the wonderful atmosphere within the Hotel Boulderado. Our server Jerome took excellent care of us, especially for how energetic the place was. The mussels in particular were outstanding, and we tried some amazing new-to-us cocktails. We’re eager to be back soon!

    Service was very good although the food did take a decent amount of time (Not ridiculous) The food was very mid, and appetizers are very good (Mussels & Brussels) However entrees were pretty not great. Don't get anything with grits, lamb, or bison.

    Looks as if it would be a good place to have dinner but really wasn’t all that special. If you are looking for just an OK dinner then sure this place could do it for you, but the price is not worth it to just have an OK dinner

    Spencer was a knowledgeable and charming service pro who was an excellent guide for our evening. The restaurants valet parking and ease of entry was perfect for one family member with difficulty walking. The food was exquisite. Many thanks.

    We have lived in Boulder for many years and have been enjoying Spruce Farm & fish for breakfast, lunch and dinner ever since it opened. We love the ambiance of the restaurant and the historic Boulderado. We often take out of town guest here. We like the menu choices, my favorite is the mustard crusted salmon over quinoa salad and my husband enjoyed the trout. We have many breakfast choices that we enjoy. You can't go wrong.

    It was a lovely birthday lunch with friends. The menu was great and we were all happy with our selections. We started with Bloody Mary’s and Prosecco. It was a gray gloomy day outside, but our service was wonderful and we were soon in a celebratory mood!

    Great location and ambience, but food was just average. Very large menu, but the cioppino was just so-so, the trout had way too much butter, deviled eggs had olives for a twist, but I'd say stick with the classic recipe.

    Fantastic fare and service in a gorgeous historic establishment - one of the best in Boulder, in my humble opinion. Our server Chris was the highlight; he was exceptionally attentive with a bonus dose of humor, even for a busy Saturday night. We already look forward to our next visit!

    Calamari was not good; seemed old. Timing of food was rushed. Apps came out right after ordering and before drinks. Salads came while eating apps and dessert menu offered halfway through entrees. Main dishes were really good but that’s it. Not worth the money at all.
