   The ambiance is casual with nautical decor very tastefully done. Service was friendly and efficient without being invasive. The food was wonderful. I had the crab cake followed by chicken piccata, which had fresh, perfectly cooked veggies with it.

   Really cool atmosphere and great food. The goat cheese and brussel sprout appetizer is amazing. The fish and chips was delicious and is a huge portion, you could definitely split between two people if you wanted. Butternut squash ravioli and veggies was fresh and light. Will be back!

   This restaurant needs a complete overhaul- management- staff training- quality of the food- service. It’s shocking how bad this restaurant was considering it’s in the Brown Palace Hotel. The food - (the goat cheese tomato dip) was so bad that we sent it back. This was the servers recommendation over something else on the menu… I can’t imagine how bad the other one would have been. There seemed to be plenty of people working…but most of them were standing around not doing anything. I would have expected that someone would have some over and asked us about sending back the appetizer and then asking for the check- nobody did. It feels like the server must be used to this happening.

   The food ranged from mediocre to truly bad. It overpriced, a very poor value. I could easily go item by item through the dinner and drinks and explain what was wrong, but it was pretty much everything. No item was enjoyable and some were inedible. There are so many great restaurants in Denver. Go to one of those. If this restaurant were anywhere other than in the Brown Palace, it would be out of business.

    We were told it takes 30 minutes to cook a medium/well burger. we waited forever for our lunch. we were splitting the bill- the waitress mixed up the credit cards and put the wrong charges on the credit cards. i was asked if I'd like my iced tea put in a paper cup to go but the cup never came. We left.

    Ambience and service was great! The prime rib was over cooked even though we asked for medium rare. It’s hard to cook a big piece of meat like that. The crab cake was delicious!

    We waited over 20 minutes for someone to come by after we were seated to take drink orders. Then our food was order was finally taken and we waited 45 minutes with no food! I finally asked the waiter and he apologized and brought it out. The soup was cold. The food was average at best. Please take this feedback and improve your service and food. Thank you

    Would never go back. If staying at the brown palace walk down the street and find some place else. Food Lousy, staff unfriendly, slow service, and over priced.

    We had a marvelous time with old friends. Our service and meal were both wonderful. I had to Pork Tenderloin which was perfect. It is a very relaxing atmosphere. We will be back soon. Looking forward to the piano player.

    The service at the Ships Tavern is very slow and the food was cold. Before dinner we had a drink in the atrium/lobby around 5pm and the staff started vacuuming…very loud and not inviting! We are Denverites and have patronized the Brown Palace for decades…it has certainly gone downhill. Too bad because it’s a local historic treasure!

    The prime rib must be from an animal unknown to the public with a taste that is literally out of this world. We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary with the best experience we could have wished for. Thank you!

    Never been to the tavern and we were looking forward to lunch with some friends there. Very disappointed with the entrees (although one member of or group liked the Greek salad a lot). An order of the prime rib at medium was served well done and retuned to the kitchen. The replacement was rare and tough. Our waitress was fine, but food was slow coming out of the kitchen (it was the day of the stock show parade, so that may have impacted the kitchen), but overall a disappointing experience, especially since friends highly recommended it (they blame Marriott takeover).
