The service was outstanding! Matthew was our server and was excellent! The appetizers, salads, entrees and gelato were all incredible! The lasagna was the best I have ever tasted! Will definitely dine again if we are back in Boulder.

Excellent meal. We all four really enjoyed our meal. My Boscaiolo pizza was excellent and my wife loved her squash Ravioli. One of out friends cant do gluten; she her gluten free pasta. Service was excellent and the have a nice wine program. Will be back!

Rustic Italian setting, however the restaurant could use a good scrubbing. Sticky floors and tables, and a fairly dirty bathroom take away from an otherwise lovely ambiance. Three of our four entrees were very good, except for the Lasagna that left a lot to be desired (reheated lasagne smothered in a wet marinara sauce). We’d probably pass on returning, as there are other Italian choices in town.

One previous reviewer mentioned getting the worst table in the restaurant despite an early booking when booking through Open Table. It made me wonder because we were seated next to their dish station. The food was fine. Nothing exceptional. Service was fine. Osteria Marco in Denver is a much better version of the same type of restaurant.

We waited 10 minutes to be greeted at our table, bread was forgotten until after our food arrived and our meals arrived lukewarm at best. Overall service was slow and while the flavor of the food was good, when taken into account with everything else, we won't be returning.

We love Sforno & the food & service were fabulous as usual! My only complaint this time around consists of disappointment re our seating arrangement. I had stopped by in person, several days in advance, to request our group of 9 being seated up in the front area, where we could have a more communal table, rather than one long one, where the end folks are kind of isolated. The woman with whom I spoke assured me that this was possible & said absolutely no problem, writing something down. I never received any notification to the contrary. When we arrived, a long table directly in front of the entrance on the lower level was what awaited. Not satisfactory! The extremely helpful waiter quickly re-assessed & created a long table for us along the far wall. Disappoint there, but everything else was wonderful!

Mediocre. Loud music so it’s hard to have a conversation. They offer a lunch special—one orders two out of three of the choices of soup salad or sandwich. There were three of us for a business lunch. Each of us ordered the lunch. None of the three of us got what we ordered. None. Grrrr! The food is OK even if it’s not what we ordered though the “panini” were only vaguely related to a properly pressed and melted Italian Panini. The room is bleak and the tables need refinishing. With all the good choices in Boulder, we won’t be back.

Took my daughter and her roommates out for real food (non-dorm food) last week. Everything was excellent. Started with the Battiladro di Mozzarella which was supposed to feed 4 people but there was so much, it could have easily fed 8. The group ordered the gnocchi, canneloni, pasta scampi and Pollo Vadostana. While we loved all the entrees, everyone agreed that the gnocchi was a stand out - pillow soft and covered in a rich alfredo. Beyond the food, the hostess was great in getting us in sooner than our reservation and our waiter was attentive. Oh and did I mention the bread and pesto dipping sauce - yummy!

We took our friends to dinner at Sforno last Thursday, Dec. 1st to show off the great food we have enjoyed there on out past visits. Especially the the Spaghetti Carbonara. We were raving about how good it was to our friends. We ordered two orders that night and we terribly disappointed. The chef left out some key ingredients, and the end result was a very bland not good tasting Carbonara. We will probably not go back because we don't know when they will cook that dish properly or not. I tried to call the restaurant to give them some feedback and they never answered the phone. Very disappointed in this restaurant.
