Penne pasta, baked with eggplant in a ricotta & tomato basil sauce topped with melted mozzarella
Homemade lobster ravioli, in a brandy cream tarragon sauce
Gnocchi alla Romana
Homemade potato dumplings baked with parmesan cheese; choice of butter & sage or a four cheese sauce
Super fun dinner in the patio in the middle of the CU pep rally! Great good; reasonable wine list; wonderful service.
Amazing overall experience. Great food and very helpful server, cool ambiance.
Fantastic Italian food and wine .
Nice outside covered patio. 🍷salute
Everything was great, can’t wait to come back to Boulder and eat here again!
Fantastic, authentic food in a casual atmosphere. Great for any occasion
We were here while on vacation in Boulder. Jo, our server, was great, friendly and professional. The atmosphere was fun and welcoming. The food, though, was just OK. I had the Bucatini alla Gricia while my husband had the Pollo alla Parmigiana. Both were a bit on the bland side, and the bucatini was exceptionally oily. Overall, it was fine -ish.
Our server Jacob was awesome! He was informative, made great suggestions.
Always wonderful cheerful service, great ambiance in the evenings where the restaurant has a lovely glow and lit up lights inside, covered patio seating is my favorite with views of pearl street and music playing. Food is always delicious and completely fulfilling! Desserts are scrumptious! Love bringing newbies here to enjoy what Sforno has to offer!:)
LOVE this restaurant! Have been going here for 30+ years and every time, it is better than the last! They have added a few new things to the menu which rounds out an already fabulous menu. The ambiance here carries you off to a small Italian village. The service is always fun and attentive.
We had a wonderful dinner, with beautiful pasta and excellent service. I would definitely eat here again, though I felt the price per plate was a bit excessive and the inside was very, very loud, which are the only reasons this isn't an absolute 5-star restaurant in my opinion. I loved the location on the mall which makes the prices a bit more understandable.
Megan's service was impeccable and helped contribute to a wonderful evening reconnecting with extended family.
The lobster ravioli was quite good with just the right amount of bite, though the portion size was a bit small.
The cannoli had fresh ricotta filling that was nicely sweet and a wonderful shell.
I would definitely come back and do recommend this place!
Simply delicious!! Wonderfully nice waiter. Beautiful setting!
We were looking so forward to dining at Sfornos.
After being seated, we noticed that all the flatware at our table was sticking to the table! The table was disgustingly Sticky! My husband also noticed that the table next to us had dirty flatware even though the table was set for the next guests. We chose to leave so we never tasted the food:(
The hostesses were very poorly trained and more concerned with socializing than taking care of patrons of the restaurant. They had poor communciation skills and didn't really care baout making the customer happy.
On the other hand, the waitress we had was great.
The main pasta course was terrific, but the appetizer had so much it was horrible. And I love garlic.
Unfortunately I wouldn't recommend it and I wouldn't go back.
The food was amazing. Our server was great and we loved the whole feel of the restaurant. We will eat here again on our next visit to Boulder.
The noise level was so loud that it was difficult to have a conversation. The food was excellent.
The fried calamari was over cooked, fried hard .When I visited in the spring, it was perfect . The server was very nice but stretched thin. Maybe the place was understaffed. But the dining was busy but not full yet.
Wow! Amazing meal!! Incredible ambiance! Can’t wait to go back :)
The staff was great and the food was amazing. Marco the owner even bought our dessert. Thank you so much!
We enjoyed it! Some dishes are better than others. The gnocchi is outstanding!
The pasta is so fresh
We ordered the pasta with clams . Clams were fresh and properly cooked. Pasta was slightly al dente. The broth was excellent!
Great food and service
Absolutely fabulous! The vibes were right!!
So we had a reservation for 8 and they gave us this odd table with two long benches on each side that were awkward. The host was rude and did not seem interested in helping us especially since someone in our party has special needs. The only solution seemed like a safety hazard to us. The waiter was nice but kept forgetting things or messing up the order. Food was fine for an Italian restaurant not the best either. The management did acknowledge these shortcomings and tried to make up for them but it was not enough that I would recommend this restaurant.
The food was pretty good and the selection was awesome, but there were a couple of annoyances. The first was that an order of bruschetta only comes with one piece and a little salad, which is great for one person, but I think the waitress should have told us this when we ordered one order as an appetizer to obviously share. The second was her wine presentation. She showed me the bottle then uncorked it and asked me if I wanted to taste it. Of course I want to taste it and that should just be done, not asked. Then after I said it was fine, she just set the bottle on the table! My date wasn't impressed. The point here is that the restaurant should train their young servers better.
Four if us dined at Sfono last night and oh, boy...not a chair left in the restaurant to sit on it was so packed. Good reason. The food, service and ombiance is outstanding. Yes. We were all sitting very close and my only complain is just that. Our table was banked up to a small, occupied table for 2 along the wall, and thusly, the gentleman sitting across from me was way to close to the couple behind him. A table for 4 was adjacent to us and my husband, to my right, was almost touching that table. Everyone was sort if shouting. Still, the food was drop, dead delicious, the server, just a lovely young lady, was personable and very efficient. There were about 3 tables for 10 in a couple of rooms, and people waiting outside. Wow. On a Wednesday night(!), that is unheard of. Crazy busy as it is, Sforno (and it's romantic setting) affords you the best food on Pearl Street!
We had a party of 10. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us with outdoor seating at one table. Our server was very attentive, especially given the challenges of waiting on a large table. Food was delicious and appropriately paced. Will definitely go here again.
6 friends all enjoyed a delicious dinner outdoors on the mall.
The service was exceptional from start to finish. The waitstaff went out of the way to accommodate a couple of special food requests. We all had past dishes, served with warm bread. The wine list was great too with some affordable bottles for guests.
We had lasagna, spaghetti and meatballs, salad and other pasta dishes. The servings were plentiful and served to the table warm. Many of the pastas are made inhouse. We noticed they have a nice Happy Hour too and will try that soon. Thank you for a delightful evening. We are locals but had out of town friends!
Went for late lunch. Had a decent Caesar salad and margarita pizza. Funky, small Italian village motif, well done. Outdoor seating on trendy outdoor mall ofPearl Street.
The food was wonderful, ambiance authentic and service attentive. I loved the opportunity to order a half portion of my choice of pasta.
Food was delicious. The interior is beautiful but glad we sat outside because it was hot and stuffy inside. Only disappointment was it was my husband's birthday and the server didn't acknowledge it even though my reservation stated it was for a birthday.
Salad was not cold. Very little shaved Parmesan. Papperdelle bolognese was mediocre.
Josh was a great server. We had a wonderful violinist playing outdoors next to the patio. The food was outstanding. It’s one of our favorite restaurants in Boulder!
Pros- Portions were large. I got the chicken parm and I couldn’t finish it. My boyfriend got the red trout and it was pretty considerable in size.
Cons- food needed more flavor. It was ok, just lacking.
Second of all it was pricey. If you get there for happy hour before 6pm it helps.
Lastly, our food order was placed at 5:40pm and our food came out at 6:05pm. We just finished our last piece of bread and there was our food. Suspiciously quick, but hot and ready to eat.
It was our first time to Sforno. We liked the food choices, extensive menu and it was difficult to choose. Definitely coming back.
Excellent efficient service. Food portions large and tasty. Delicious seafood in my dish.
Amazing dinner with amazing staff. The olive oil and bread were amazing
My second time here. Very good. Noisy, but it was a Friday night.
