Sarabeth's Central Park South
“Not just for Brunch.” "Not for many, many years now, and certainly not on Central Park South,” comments Frank Bruni of the New York Times about our wonderful dinner menu. Join us for an evening meal and reverse your thinking - Sarabeth's for Dinner.
Dock's Oyster Bar and Jane are the sister restaurants to Sarabeth's.
Iconic NY breakfast spot but the food just isn’t that good.
Best breakfast in NY
I haven’t been to a Sarabeth’s in over a decade. I was disappointed in the mediocre food and the lackluster service. There were also half a dozen fruit flies flitting around for most of the meal. This place has gone dramatically downhill.
Arrived before reservation. Table near window available (as requested in reservation) given to someone who said they had no reservation.
Then they tried to seat at the back emergency exit.
Always return for the ambiance, eggs Benedict, service. Can’t go wrong here, reservations help, outdoor is nice too, Central park right across the street too.
Great place. Fast.
The food was great..but we had to ask repeatedly for things like plates and a fork. Service was slower than expected. Loved the food though.
Seems like an overpriced tourist trap and the food wasn't that good.
Been here a few times because it’s super convenient when I visit our NY office and have always had a nice experience. This last time I was served a glass of water with a huge fly in it. The server was oblivious and I told him, hey we have a problem here. He quickly removed the glass and was ready to pour me a new one from the same pitcher where the fly came from. Obviously a fluke event but the kid was clueless.
Great service and food!
The food was mediocre at best and expensive. Disappointed in comparison to other reviews I’d seen.
Great food and great service. Sarabeth's never disappoints!
A French Toast was just ok, staffs were friendly but their service was sloppy. Not worth the price.
Wonderful meal and excellent service! We ordered the lobster bisque to start, which was amazing. For entree’s we had lobster rolls, chicken pot pie and spaghetti and meatballs. All were wonderful, but the desserts were the best. We ordered the blueberry and peach tart with ice cream, and the s’more in a jar. So delicious!
Great food, love the tuna salad with lemon zest open face sandwich?!?
Always a good stop while in NY. Great menu, plenty of options.
Very pricey but the food and the service were excellent. We also ate outside and it was a beautiful evening so the ambiance was great. Special shout out to the tomato soup, salmon dish and Parmesan crusted Brussel sprouts.
This was our second time there. The omelettes my daughter and I had were rubbery. My son had blueberry pancakes, which were “just average” in his words. My husband did not think his food was very good, either.
Coming from Jersey, where we have a ton of diners, we believe that it is hard to mess up breakfast food. Since this was our second experience there, I thought I would write about it.
Absolutely a must visit! Such a nice area and the food was out astounding! We had the muffin basket, home fries and shared a crab cake benny - SO GOOD!
My friend highly recommended this place to me. I decided to book a table for my birthday brunch with my good friend. My vegetable frittata was runny and undercooked inside. Her short ribs hash was tasteless even with the sauce that came with it. We were both disappointed especially given their prices.
I was very happy to be sitting outside looking at Central Park. Not much can beat that. That said, the chicken Paillard was very average and for the price, the portion was small.
Terrible service. Food was wrong. Waiter didn’t even apologize. Didn’t bring lemon as asked. Didn’t check in once to see if we needed anything.
Food Tasted like bad Diner food. Croissant was hard. Bacon was reheated.
For being right in front of Central Park expected much better
Poached eggs, requested soft, came out hard. My seat was uncomfortable
Not a great experience! The meatball appetizer was good. Dinners were just okay. We were really looking forward to having dessert after reading that Sarabeth’s started as a bakery. I ordered the Smore‘s dessert and it was inedible. You could smell heavy propane. I talk to the waitress about it and she was very sweet. However, I unfortunately forgot to check the ticket before I paid the bill and noticed later that I was still charged for a dessert I couldn’t eat.
Great service and excellent food.
I accidentally clicked on PM instead of AM when making Sunday morning reservations on Open Table - I emailed Sarabeth’s for their help and Mini the manager was so wonderful in getting back to me and helping us with my mistake and we were able to have breakfast Sunday morning before leaving back to Minnesota! Thank you Mini!!!!
Overall the experience was fine
The food was great. We had French toast and Lemon ricotta pancakes.
Sarabeth's is a classic, and my family really enjoyed our time there at brunch this weekend. The food was so delicious and the selection of options is great. It's a little expensive, but the food and environment make it worth it. I can't wait to go back!
Fantastic brunch and atmosphere! A little pricey but worth it. Food was amazing!
Food was good. It’s nice not to cook, but I could have made an omelette of the same quality in my own kitchen. If you get something like the short rib it’s worth it. They also eliminated a lot from the menu since I was there last.
Loved this place. Loads of atmosphere, food amazing, especially for brunch. Loved the french toast with maple syrup. Don’t forget to have one of the daily champagne cocktails. Very busy and very New York.
I love Sarabeth’s - it’s a staple for brunch everyone I’m in the city! The bread basket is amazing and the cocktails are always delicious.
Past it’s prime
Vacation in NYC
Good for breakfast! Lemon ricotta pancakes are my favorites.
The food was mediocre for everyone at our table. Service was great!
Best Buttermilk Pancakes ever, we also have the Salmon benedict eggs, really good!
